Hello everyone I am a 41 year old with a mother who had breast cancer at 42. 3 years ago I went to the gyno for a found lump and ended up getting to the point of a biopsy only to say what they saw was in the skin not breast. The lump was never "found" in Mamo or ultrasound. Fast forward to yesterday I went to gyno for my yearly told him energy levels are way down, periods are starting to become painful and irregular, weight gain and that I was just feeling old. Common issues I believe.

He does the breast exam and found a spot that just about sent me off the table..still sore from it. He says he felt a lump and what I feel is sort of like an empty space..deep down.

Today I go in for the diagnostic mamo and we will see. I suppose since I have already done this once before I am extremely calm however my boob is killing me!

Just wanted to tell someone, Thanks for being such an open and helpful group of women.

It really sucks doesn't it?  I can sure sympathize.

Here's hoping that you have benign findings and that you get your results quickly.

That does suck. Scary to know that some of us have been told the cancer has been there awhile despite getting annual mammograms. My sister is one of those people. She has LDC which is a bc that is hard to detect.  She actually found a lump too and that was when they located it on the mammogram. I have idc and I never felt anything but looking back the symptoms you describe were similar to mine esp the zap in energy. I also lost  weight. I was trying to but it seem to come off way too quickly. Good luck. Keep us posted. Diane

DR looked at the Mamo and ultrasound and said they are both clear. I am very happy to hear this and happy to visit them again next year. I am amazed how quickly I was taken care of this time, just amazed!
