I am a real estate investor that got put on hold during cancer treatment.  Now that I am back at it, I notice if I let slip "I had cancer" or "survivor" or any other cancer related topic, immediately I am thrown an extremely low offer because they think I am dying.  It is like piranha in blood.  Anyone else have similar kinds of experiences in your business or line of work?

I bet Denise. Its like we have the plague and they afraid of getting it from us. No I havent noticed it in business - on medical leave from my job - but there is no denying when you tell someone you have the C word they treat you differently. Good grief we didnt ask for it and it isnt leprosy. On the other hand it is kind of understandable that they dont know that bc is no longer a death sentence but it is still the C word. diane

I'm a breast cancer survivor being bullied at work for the past 2 years and it started immediately after I returned to work. I work for the US FDA. I never imagined that this would happen after I've been through so much and was eager to be healthy, happy and productive. I know that the workplace bullying is increasing the chance of reoccurrence and I've been using various resources to help deal with it.  We at the FDA take an oath to protect the public, but what my bullies fail to realize is that I'm also a public citizen!

Please help stop workplace bullying in the federal government. It's costing tax payers a lot of money! I just started a petition on the White House petitions site, We the

People. Will you sign it? http://wh.gov/lqfN6
