I have just finished a TCH combo & starting just herceptin & hormone pill.My Oncologist initally said no radiation now he's sending me to a radiation oncologist for a consultation! I'm just wondering if Dr. decides I need radation if I really do! I have read about the receptors & Stage so i know about chance of recurrance. I forgot to mention I was stage 1 no lymph Node involvment, tumor was left breast very small. I decided to have both breasts removed because of genetics. The right breast pre-cancerous.Does any one now where I can find any information about radation therapy and the grade & type of receptor on cancer or if even makes a difference.Everything I have read involves size of tumor  or stage. As  mentioned in my tittle it was grade 3 poorly diffrentiated & I know that's not good but would radiation help with that. thanks in advance for any info!

poorly differentiated just means it barely resembles a breast cancer cell. so if you do radiation, it suppossed to clean up anything left. since cancer cells can mutate and divide quickly and not normally die on there own, thats why they bombard them almost daily. I hated the whole idea of rads. hatedit. my skin came through just fine but i was telling my pt that i couldnt help imaging my mucles and tissue resembling a piece of cooked chicken. and she said more like beef jerky....eww. and my muscles just dont feel right, i dont know what arimidex does to muscles. doesnt sound like rads would be necessary for you yet,but i am not a doctor. can you get a second opinion?

Thankyou, my consultation is tomorrow! I will see what the Dr. has to say. I am not sure if my insurance will cover 2nd opinion but if radation is suggested I will probably get one.My sister had Breast cancer 3 years ago & had radation. She now has lung damage! She lives in a ddifferent state so we don't have same Dr's.The thought of radation terrifies me! I sailed thru chemo with very few side effects just strange stuff.I guess I just thought I wouldn't have to ho thru radation.
