Eyebrows Anyone??
So, I am VERY grateful to be thriving 6 years after my diagnosis. Let's start there! however, I have a couple of day to day major aggravations as a result of my treatment. One is: I HAVE NO EYEBROWS! My eyebrow hair never re-emerged after it went away during adriamycin. I have taken to using 'brush on brow' every blessed (!) day and it is a royal pain. If I sweat at the gym, my eyebrows run off my face. If I inadvertenly touch, rub or scratch during the day at work - yup, hunks of 'eyebrows' go missing. I am contemplating permanent makeup - AKA - eyebrow tattooing. I am not not afraid of tattos becaue I have several small, pretty ones and enjoy them. The idea of getting not one but TWO on my FACE is terrifying. I live in Los Angeles so there are a bazillion people who offer this service. Anyone have a recommendation or experience with this issue??

HollyHopes,
I'm sorry they never returned. I can only imagine your frustration. Since you are considering a permanent solution via tattoos, it is so important that you are doing your homework and researching this.
May I also offer an additional suggestion? I would guess that if you put your desire to have this done 'out there' you might find someone with experience and even someone who might do it free or at a reduced rate.
Have you also checked with some area cancer organizations that might have suggestions?
Sorry I can't help with referrals.
Hugs!

While mine came back sparse, I can only imagine how frustrated you must feel. A very good friend on mine had no eyebrows to speak of, nothing related to cancer though. She ended up getting her eyebrows tatooed and they look fantastic. She did do alot of research and paid about $800. What's cool about them is that they look like individual hairs vs a solid line. Its been 10 years and still says its one of the best things she's ever done for herself

Hi Holly,
Dutchy on these boards got her nipple tattoos and also got eyebrow tattoo's from Jeane McTasney who is out of New Mexico.(phone#505 204-6500). She flies out here about once a month and has an office in Tustin. She is really please with them. I don't know how much Dutchy is on these boards now but you might want to contact her.
