Gracie,
I hear what you're saying to momine and agree but what about those of us who sincerely ask questions and get put down just for asking? I am never rude of disrespectful and sarcasm is not my style. However, i have had some pretty harsh responses for simply questioning. I want to learn things too but I keep feeling that if my questions even slightly suggest that I have an iota of doubt about an alt tx that I am raked over the coals. As a matter of fact I feel pretty foolish right now for even attempting to post anything on this thread.

I wasn't referring to you in particular either momine, and I agree that questioning is fine. Before your post, on this particular thread, there were no questions or discussion, just " that's wrong", which contributes zero. I would like to know the things you mentioned too, but the fact that they are not added to the article doesn't mean I would not be interested in reading the article and then trying to find out the info. I'm all for looking up lots of info but I'm sure I don't see everything in my searches and this article was something I had never seen and never heard of the guy, so now I know and if I want further info I can look up his name. Snide remarks only redirect the conversation to the point where its useless to anyone whether they're interested in alt or not. When I see someone being sarcastic with someone else simply because they posted an article it frankly pisses me off. The poster like all of us is dealing with cancer for crying out loud. Its a bizarre way to get entertainment, being that way with another human being just because you're not face to face.

Also wanted to quickly add, it's not unique to the alternative thread either though the brunt of it seems to end up here. The best we can do is "ignore" and move on. Took me a while, but I get it now. I vividly remember a member publicly calling me "stupid" on another thread because I chose to not get a port. Didn't know her from Adam, nor did she have any idea of my particular medical history, but felt well within her rights to call me that. Comments like that hurt....big-time and they're ignorant. Wouldn't it have been better to say I may be making a mistake? Maybe I would have paid attention. Her calling me stupid made me feel all the more comfortable with my decision and made her look kind of nutty, so, kinda back-fired. It would be really nice if everyone were civilized and concious of the feelings of others, but hey, it's not a perfect world....so we do what we have to do and carry on. Hard to rationalize, but it is what it is and my best advice is "ignore" people who have the agenda to hurt, disparage and belittle. Peace.

...and joellelee, so very sorry to take your thread off-course. No more, I promise.
-
Yes, you are right gracie but it is stunning and painful (or maybe I'm too sensitive) when someone attacks you for no apparent reason other than questioning. There was no reason to call you names for deciding not to get a port. I guess I do not understand nor do I accept that kind of behavior so it still stings, each and every time. And you are also right that it does happen on other threads/forums from time to time but not quite as bad as it gets here. Probably should just stick to the stage IV forums

Wow stupid for not getting a port is certainly uncalled for! I didn't get one either because at the time I was only getting 8 treatments. Sometimes I see people get them for only 4 treatments. I guess it depends on the situation. Well, peace to you all. Its beautiful out; have a lovely weekend everyone :-)

Joellelee's posts were deleted because she said something nasty in triplicate to Momine or Mardibra - can't remember who, but the mods obviously thought the comment was not appropriate.
-
I mostly just skimmed this very long interview, but contrary to what one poster said, I found nothing to disagree with off hand
-
Not a problem that this has gone off track...it is what it is. I honestly just wanted to share something interesting I had found...and, the very first response from Digger was very demeaning and sarcastic...makes it hard for me, and others, to just share what we find.
-
Joellee,
Just block the known vandals and continue to share whatever your big heart suggests.
We have to remember that those who come here just to disrupt have had hard lives with deeper problems than cancer.
Do you know if Donnie Yance ever appears at conferences? My integrative doc knows him and recommends him highly. I always try to track down the conferences so I can order a CD of the speakers I like.

Natty, I wish I knew! When ya find out, lemme know!!! LOL
