Back after 6 years
I thought I was "home free" after six years. Not so. I had a breast MRI yesterday, and it looks like I have mets to my liver and lungs. I have CT scans today. I had CT scans in September for another illness, and everything was clear. How can this happen so fast? This place was so helpful when I was first diagnosed and during treatment. It's way too soon to know what is in store for me, but I felt a need to post. It was one of the things that kept me going. I think it's going to be harder this time. I'm sure I will continue to be here.

Dear Daydream, I'm so sorry to hear of your new diagnosis and progression. I know others with similar situations will be along soon to chime in and give their support.
Praying you have strength as you go through this.

daydream, no one wants to say "welcome back" around here, but you'll still find the information and support you remember. Please keep everyone posted about your next steps.

Well, I'm gonna go ahead and say it, that sucks that you're looking at another go round with bc.
I put those shoes on 2 yrs ago, the info here was great for the challenges I hadn't encountered previously. So many people sharing experiences and then knowing what I felt was normal for the situation. So, pose your questions, vent your frustrations and know a lot of us are here with you.
Take care of you and best wishes in the coming days as more answers and a plan happen for you. -
Well, I feel rather sheepish and much relieved. Thank you all for your heartfelt comments, but it looks like I'm all clear afterall. The spots on my liver, which the radiologist thougt were mets, turned out (after more tests) to be an artifact of the MRI. In other words, nothing at all. The lung problem turned out to be pneumonia. I'm very happy to have pneumonia!
So, best of luck to everyone, and sorry for the false alarm. Who knows, I may be back here some day.

Awesome news! So happy for you. Take care of yourself so you can get over that pneumonia soon.

What a relief! Btw.. We don't want you back here;)

daydream, we couldn't be happier for you and your false alarm! Okay, it's true we don't want you (or anyone) back in THAT way, but we love to see members return if they want to - to answer questions, encourage others with their life-after-BC milestones, and keep in touch with old friends.

so happy for you x

Daydream, you had a breast MRI , how could they see anything outside the breast MRI in the first place? Did you do a body MRI?
-
Daydream, started reading this thread with a heavy heart, but ended up with a smile! Delighted you had good news!

hi Daydream. Glad your clear. I was stage one in April 2005 as well. I had a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation. I thought I was free and clear 7years. I was hospitalized in January 2013 for 11 days. I had shortness of breath. Turned out I had water on my lungs and was diagnosed with stage 4 mets to liver and lungs. I'm sure it will be harder this time.
