Sorry not watching these days too busy. In the ER with youngest son waiting for him to be seen. Soccer injury to shoulder muscle at game today! Not too bad but hurts for him to move it.
I will have to catch up & watch later! -
So sorry Julz...i hope they give him something for the pain
We missed you...
♥
-
Thanks! He's a tough kid & plays many sports he is handling it well!
-
julz, sorry your son was injured, my grandson plays Football, Track anf Shotput and I am always worried he will get hurt, but you are right they are tough kids, Amber and Candice are doing nothing for me tonight, here comes Kree.
-
I'm with you Karen
The first 4 songs were much better than their second songs
It's so dry and making me sleepy
It's not my genre
-
All season i waited any one of them to sing something upbeat...happy
I'm still waiting for my moment of JUMPING UP & DOWN.....I'm giving up
-
No jumping over here either, did really like the second half of Kree's song, man the judges give her a hard time, even Keith - rip, then say one thing nice. Loved it when Harry and Randy got into it, they all slammed Harry, bet he never offers to mentor again.
-
I think Amber is going home tomorrow and Angie and Kree will be in the top 2 again, I just don't see Candice being AI, she is a blues singer and doesn't show the versatility Kree or Angie show. I'm off to watch the second episode of NCIS - finally. Always a good time watching with you sheila, maybe we will get to jump up and down next week.
-
Enjoy it Karen
see you tomorrow night
-
I kinda thought it was Candace's night. I do love Ambers voice sometimes, I think she will be a star, but she doesn't know herself the way Candace does. (When Candace getts all made up I think she is really beautiful.)
Speaking of beauty, Angie looked stunning for her standard.
I don't know why they are doing all these old fashioned categories, if they want them to be contemporary.
Kree seems lost, still like her tho.
I have enjoyed the show this season, interesting so many feel otherwise.
-
I thought they all did pretty well tonight, but Angie's still all got my votes. She's the most current, and is a pianist and songwriter as well as fantastic singer. ("the whole package" as they say!)

OK, I missed last week entirely so I can't speak to top 2, bottom 2 from then. What I can say is that Candice blew everybody out of the water tonight! If I were doing the sending home, Angie would be the one leaving. I really like her a lot, but unlike everyone else, I'm tired of her at the piano and I'm not a Rhianonna (or however its spelled) fan, but I like her version of the song much more than what Angie did.
I think that the song categories have been ridiculous-STANDARDS? Come on...to these kids Standards are from the 80s!
-
Eph, what time do you watch live? Are you 8 PM Pacific time? Funny, I just watched on my DVR ... I am glad the judges called Angie out on her camera hunger. It's distracting!
She was such a slow starter on the show. i think she's oK but she's still a little rough around the edges...Candace has the voice for sure...am never nervous when she sings...just purely entertained. Nobody feels it like she does. But it's true, she is not as contemporary as the others. Amber used to sing like Whitney...what's happening?
Kree...great voice...can't take the country outta the girl....there is a huge % of country lovers who vote. We will see....
I think Amber's going.
I still like the show...too funny watching the divas at each other all night.Nite all! Hope I get to watch live tomorrow.
-
Candice is the only one who took her voice down to her low register tonight and did not have it drop off. She may not "package up" as well as the long-legged gals, or even country-Kree, but if this is truly a singing competition, it should go to Candice. (I realize it isn't and probably won't.)
Nothing wrong with them singing some standards, but Harry was right...if you mess with the melody, you lose a lot of what made it a standard in the first place. Poor Amber, they aired that bit where she was clueless about the words and meaning of "My Funny Valentine." I think she is going home. If she does, at least Candice will start next week EVEN with the other two, and not have to come from behind with a deficit in votes. (Oh, wait, will they be changing the rule again this week too?)
-
I was wondering if the judges know the result before the show...
-
supposedly not, but who really knows?
-
I'm very curious about tonight's elimination...who who who is going home.......
-
Hey Sheila - I think it's going to be Amber. She and Candice have to pull up from their negative balance last week, and Candice really shone last night. Sometimes Amber's performance stuns you, though. I wouldn't be surprised if she actually has a career in the future.
I think Angie would be great on Broadway plus she has a great voice for radio. If nothing else, she could be a DJ on a Christian radio station and perform at all the things radio stations do around town. Of course, she can do much better than that, but I would love to be able to do that.... but I guess this isn't about me... sigh...
I loved Harry last night. He was giving them straight feedback, which they don't get. Even Jimmy is confusing sometimes. He was right, you don't change a standard and I didn't like it when they did. I liked the standards set - the girls got to glam it up and the stage and the girls looked beautiful.
Still, I think Ryan is my favorite
-
Ryan is my favorite too.....♥
He has personality......
-
ok ladies I had to go to bed early last night and I didn't see all of Idol, but I did watch a little more than 1/2 of it... I agree! Candice is too over the top sometimes, Amber was a little off key at times, Angie is always, always at the piano (NO!!! it doesn't always work for you, You are NOT Billy Joel!) Kree's song with the guitar player was excellent and the judges especially KU was too harsh. I have come to the conclusion that possibly the producers have told them they don't want a country winner and to judge her harshly to try and sway voters the other way. It backfired on them the year they tried that with Lee DeWyze and Crystal. Everyone voted for Lee and he won. LOL!! oh well... jmo like eveyone else I have one. I have really thought over all this year has been very poor. Some of the greatest singers went home and weren't in the top 10 i think that we will see some of them go on to have great careers and not so much with the the ones that are on the show. Chat with you tomorrow about the voice maybe... still haven't watched.

I'm in shock an upbeat song from Beyonce...
It was refreshing like they all came alive.........
-
I just saw this posted on another website

Good Night
-
Hi ladies, my grandson was attaching a new router, took him 3 hours but he got it. I fed him dinner and he ate while he worked, certainly has a lot of patience, didn't get it frm me, lol. Did not like watching it by my lonesome, missed our chatter. Made me realize how much this group brings enjoyment to a show. Well our girl made it, I think I was hyperventilating a bit. It was so nice of Ryan to bring her dad to her, she really needed her daddy's hug. Will be back at my post on Monday for our show. Goodnight all.
-
heartnsoul..that is an interesting take..
freakin tivo cut out at 55 minutes so I didn't see the end.
Glad Candace and Kree are through...at moments I loved Amber, and other times she left me cold. She is beautiful, and can sing and has style. She would be amazing in a girl group, like Beyonce in Destiny's Child, and those were some of my favorite moments.
-
Looks like a fun 3 nights of The Voice coming up! I hope Rod Stewart sings a rock song and not an old standard - getting tired of those from him. I can't wait to see what Cee Lo has up his sleeves, too. I actually bought a song last week from The Voice - Garrett Gardner's "Too Close". I think that kid has real star power - like someone else said, he reminds me of Jim Morrison.
-
-
No one here yet, hi to all the ladies who will be coming. Adam has a dynamite team of women, Amber did an excellent job, voice is really pure, great job of connecting with the audience.
-
Hi Karen...Yes I loved Amber
