New to this thing.....

I saw my Oncologist, who has seen a heck of a lot of LE in his day. He is in agreement about the calcium and cyst idea. He has never seen this before. Although it seems impossible (given that this whole thing started within a month of my LE diagnosis), he says he does not believe they are related. I trust him implicably. I am heading back to my primary with that knowledge. It could be a ganglion cyst. Now that I know that these are separate issues, I am no longer worried.
So.... what do you ladies think?

Hi all, reporting back. So... my Oncologist, who has seen a whole lot of LE in his days, says he has never seen this correlated with LE. He feels it is a separate issue, although he did agree that it seems pretty odd that these lumps appeared within a few weeks of my LE diagnosis. I am returning to my Primary Care to finalize this diagnosis. Onc thinks it is a ganglion cyst. He says I could go to a hand specialist, but I am not terribly interested in that! I want to know how to pursue my workouts and whether they now need to be altered for LE and the cysts!!! Just another setback. That's ok. Life is full of them. I love the thought that this exchange of info is available for someone else who may find themselves in a similar situation. I can't be the only one! Thank goodness for the wonderful people on breastcancer.org. What would I do without you?

Hi Tammy,
Sorry I can't help with your problem. There's so many things we have to put up with! Just wanted to let you know that I was reading your posts and as someone else with LE I sympathize. Hope you get sorted out soon and that you don't get any more complications

Good to know !
TammyYou have a great attituide and you are one of the wonderful ppl on breastcancer.org!
My first thought is for you to head over to the exercise forum right here on the LE thread (Called kicking LE's butt...) and see what those ladies suggest. I would still want to make sure the glove was comfortable and fit oproperly. No matter what your hand issues may be, the last thing you need is to make them worse !
