This is discpicable!

Interesting about the scandal at kettering...will definitely be looking into that!
I agree....studies, shmudies....survival IS the best proof! I would MUCH rather talk to survivors and see what they did than rely solely upon a clinical study.
-
Actually, extracts of Laetril were studied at Sloan Kettering. The initial data indicated there was something to it. It is not a cure all--there is no such thing, but within specific cell lines it was showing effectiveness. The study was quashed however. The lead researcher, Dr Sugiura, at the time one of the world's leading cancer researchers, stated that these extracts were effective within certain parameters, but he was not allowed to voice his findings. Makes you wonder.
-
and the study was picked up again and found to have no cancer curing qualities.
-
Who picked up the last study? The people who squashed it??...LOL
-
Nobody else would pick it up because it showed no promise. Do you really think if it had promise that you could keep others away? Cmon.
-
Mardibra,
That would just plain be discpicable for MSK to quash this noble idea that laetrile is "a very safe and effective cancer treatment..LOL
-
Noble idea...now I'm laughing!
-
Joellee - can you fix the spelling of despicable in your post - every time I see it it grates on my nerves
-
I don't listen to any reports from the ACS where they have pockets to protect...Heellllo!
-
nancy...I changed the spelling in my text, sorry...don't know how to change the title.
-
ya know...really doesn't bother me today that some of you are laughing about this....just keep on laughing, I will keep buying my laetrile pills from mexico....keep on doing what you are doing. Our enegies are better suited to more positive things at this point.
-
Agree, Joellelee, must stay positive. Negative thoughts are just a breeding ground for cancer that might undermine the laetrille pills from mexico...so positive thoughts only.
Just one caveat. It might be a good idea to check whether the laetrille pills from Mexico are in fact the real thing. I understand that any firm in Mexico that you're dealing with over the Internet would not be lining their pockets like, say, the ACS or MSK, but I would hate for you to spend all that money on a product that perhaps doesn't really contain laetrille, hence you're unable to get all the cancer curing benefits. Just a thought.
-
I am laughing because I do find this all a bit ridiculous. However, regardless of what your buying, buying from Mexico is a dangerous thing. You have NO idea what you are getting.
-
Mardibra I am wondering why you are on the alternative threads as you seem to disagree with every non standard protocol? Many alternative approaches do not fit in to the clinical studies protocols as they work in a different way or there are no control groups as its illegal to deprive anyone of treatment for cancer as a test control group (of course) so this makes research more tricky. Also a lot of alternative or rather complementary regimes require high patient compliance and can be quite hard work energy wise, but there are many observational studies.........chemo is well known to only work fully in 15% of cases and does not kill cancer stem cells......something complementary practitioners talked about long before conventional medicine accepted their very real existence!
I know someone diagnosed as terminal 10 years ago with brain and other cancers who ONLY uses laetrile and is still alive and well........
-
I guess im hoping to find the alternative that makes sense to me. I have not yet.
-
Joellee there is a person on stage 4 who uses apricot seeds from a naturopathic dr and she is in the states. Idk if that is exactly the same as latriel. She does a lot of alt with her conventional and she is 5 years NED.
I think the purpose of this board is to support each other and share information, not ridicule and police spelling. There are plenty of other places to discuss what you would like to discuss. Why come to alt just to be derogatory to other people who are dealing with cancer?? Doesn't it ever get old, coming here to simply ridicule others that you don't even know? Even if I bought the lame excuse that you care so much about seeing people get taken advantage of (which I don't) we are ADULTs. No one needs or appreciates your "protection" or your ridicule or your spell checking. So just please get a life and stop it. -
Joellelee- I'm curious as to why you buy the laetrile pills instead of eating apricot pits. Is it a more pure form of the compound? The pits aren't illegal are they?
-
Isnt informing someone that Laetrile is illegal in the US sharing information? Personally, Im not looking to police anyone. Im just pointing out facts about this particular alternative approach...an illegal one and one that has been proven to be of no use. However, as I have said before, you can choose to buy drugs where ever you want and you can choose to make your own decisions about your own health. If your interested in going to Mexico to buy meds, more power to ya.
-
FYI...Check some of your produce in the grocery store to see where it comes from....MANY of it comes from Mexico, go figure.
Urbanfarmer....Apricot Pit seeds to eat are legal in the United States and can be purchased online....I buy the concentrated form of Laetrile pills from a very well respected company in Mexico. Many supplements etc come from other countries like China etc...IV Laetrile is what is most effective and illegal in the Unites States, in my opinion, because it is very effective.
HLB, thanks! Do you mind Pming me her name so I can see some of her posts? Would love to see what she is doing along with her conventional!
...Hey we still need to get together soon!!!
Lily...Thanks!....Do you mind sharing what other supplements that person uses besides the Laetrile?
-
I do buy the pits online and eat them, that's why I was curious about the pills. I'm in Canada, and so is the company I order them from.
-
IV Laetrile is what is most effective and illegal in the Unites States, in my opinion, because it is very effective.
Joellelee, just so I'm following your logic correctly, you're saying that the only reason IV Laetrile is not legal in the U.S. is precisely because it's so effective? And that's the despicable part?
-
Google Camelot Cancer Center. It's despicable what they have done to people that think laetrile is thier only hope. One couple traveled from Florida this week and spent 12000.00 for treatment only to get ran out of the building by Feds!!!!!
-
Oh, Nancy...I am sorry about the SEs and the mistaken identity with the spelling thing...
I can respect everything you said and I wish you the very best!!!
-
back to read this thread. too much to say. the silver I use topically only & only when I want to be sure to keep the bacteria down. I have a small blue streak there, no big deal, appeared the very first time I used it tried to shell apricot seeds: couldn't do it: I think one would need a vice
