Is there such thing as a strapless masectomy bra?

Options

Hi,

I am in the process of trying to find a dress for my sons wedding. One of the dresses that i like is shear around the chest area, so it would require a staples bra.

Do they make them and most importantly are they comfortable and reliable? I do not want to spend too much money on this, because i will probably wear once.

Thanks for help

Hope

There are some options for strapless mastectomy bras at the Women's Personal Health Resource, an online website. Under the heading Catalog on the lefthand side, click on "Bras" and then on the category "Strapless Bras." I haven't tried any of them myself, although I've heard some women say the bandeau-type bras work well. Also, some women attach (sew) foam breast forms to their dresses and that can work, depending of course on the dress.

I hope you find a solution that lets you feel secure, comfortable and beautiful for your son's wedding.

My sister (she had her BMX exactly a year before mine) ONLY wears strapless Maidenform padded push-up bras that she gets at Target, says that the 'padding in them is enough,' and has them in several colors.  Might be worth a try because they are no doubt a lot cheaper than specialty/mastectomy bras.
