R3 reading on mammogram

Hi ladies,

I am a survivor of BC 4 years now, and I recently went for my annual mammogram ,I got the results a week later and they want me back for more views and and ultrasound, possibly biopsy, when I asked they said it showed an R3 which apparently is indeterminate and needs follow up.

I'm really worried now as I thought I was finished with cancer. My original diagnosis was Idc,in left breast. Lumpectomy and all nodes removed, 8 sessions of chemo and 25 rads, has anyone else had similar readings post BC .?

Hi, Joanie ~ Is R3 like Bi-Rads 3? If so, that's just barely in the suspiscious range -- in other words, they just can't ignore it, but it's highly unlikely that it's bc. Here's the chart and ratings system we use in the US:
