Too close to home.  CEO had his huge flat screen TV on, everyone watching upstairs, TV on in the exercise room I could listen to it from my desk.

I'm less than an hour from Boston.

Linda, so good to hear you are OK....watching a marathon sounds like something you might do....I am heartbroken for these people...the scope is very large for such a primitive cheap shot at innocents and children.  Some days i just don't understand....

I am sitting in the Astronomy room giving a test for a colleague and on my laptop...
Now, am fighting back tears....of anguish for Boston, and...

joyful tears - Ducky, you darned made me cry here...some days life is just SOOOOO good...and I am glad you went.  You deserve it.  I don't love flying but I feel that now my kids are all grown and I had BC I am just going to do what I want to do.

Sheila, you are so good at figuring stuff out!!! Isn't it the most peaceful place?  I just love when the sun goes down and the moon rises and all the Island food smells are wafting on the warm air...I thought of you and now understand why you can't wait to get to Hawaii.

I felt the stress as soon as I got back to NY.  And the cold.

Sandy your plan for today is great!  You deserve it.  You do so much...enjoy every minute!

Feel better, Chris....tree pollen is high today.  I definitely have a sleep disorder...it's fixable, but I don't seem to want to fix anything.
pt - counting the weeks/day to your trip!

Hugs & prayers for Boston and all who have loss and for those who care...

    Joan....It was a beautiful place...

We took a boat tour picnic lunch....the guy dived and caught the fish after they took us to a deserted island and we had a nice lunch with fresh fish and drinks

On our way back he stopped in the middle of the ocean and the water was shallow we walked to another island....I thought i was in Heaven....It was priceless

And my camera broke so i only have the memories..........

I just can't get this knot out of my stomach.  A young engineer at work was at the marathons finish line (not running) and decided he and his buddies go get something to eat.  While they were waiting for their order the TV that was on in the store and they saw the bomb go off. OMG they had just left that area.

Linda, Deb, it must be difficult being so close...so many are affected by the tragedy.
Am trying to recover from the 3 busy days at the beginning of the week and Thursday PM I do not bring any work home at all.  So I'm catching up on American Idol on DVR.
We found a guy to help level and seed the lawn, and he will plant shrubs at a very good price.  So tomorrow I'll go pick out some shrubs and hope that the deer don't eat them.
Allergies kicked in today...took me off guard.
Wishing everyone a good night and better tomorrow.

Aww..Chris, those migraines are killer, especially if you have work to get to.  My daughter gets migraines with cyclic vomiting - it's brutal.

Sandy - thinking of you and wishing you an easier time.

I love Thursdays...normal work day; no urgent things to do for tomorrow...can relax at night and watch A.I. live.
We planted 20 little evergreen trees (5-6 feet) and got 2 piles of soil delivered.  Guy is coming Saturday to seed the lawn.  Deer will be thrilled when I plant some leafy shrubs.
Sheila, you on for next week?

ugh- cyclic vomiting - that's horrible.  I thought DD might have that when she was little - she grew out of it thankfully.  I hope somehow it goes away for your DD.  I didn't start having migraines until after DD was born. "D"H used to get bad migraines - but he got a bite guard to wear at night and doesn't get them anymore.  I'm not sure DD is done with her weird vomiting.  Last school year she had some issues reminiscent of when she was little.  I was afraid for her for this year since she was stuck with some 8am classes she had to commute to, but she was lucky (as far as I know...)  Wish I knew what the cause was.  True cyclic vomiting sounds like a nightmare.

Awww - little trees.  It's funny when we look back at pictures from the 90's and not only are the kids little, but the trees are too.  The trees that are left (curse you Mother Nature) have gotten big (as have the kids.)  Hope the deer don't eat all your plants.

lol Linda - offering teenagers - and Sheila turning down the offer.  You guys are too funny.

Yes it is very sad.  Police are everywhere in every toen.  I had to go to the Hospital this morning in Needham, right on the outskirt of Boston.  It's like a ghost town.  I hope they get this bastard soon!
