Gemzar and Carboplatin

Has anyone had this combo of chemo? I had one breast cancer on my right side stage 3 Had surgery in September finished TC in the middle of feb went to first radiation and they found fluid around my lungs I found a new lump in my left breast not even a couple days before. Had to go for thoracentesis to drain fluid and to have it tested for cancer cells. The went to surgeon and had a biopsy of the left lump. Then went to have a pet scan. I have triple neg and the scan showed a light up under my arm a couple in my bones and the fluid came back with cancer cells in it. Been told I am not going to be cured, but hope for remission. This is the chemo i will be getting to see if we can shrink it all. If anyone has been through this treatment any info would be great. I am scared out of my mind. They also want to do a brain MRI and a spine MRI. 2 different breast cancers in 8 months. Docs are shocked. Family is shocked. I am in shock! Thanks for being here...

    Oh GrammyL, I am so very sorry for what you are going through. No wonder you are all in shock.  I don't know about those chemos, except that they are pretty common for recurring, advanced or metastatic BC. Hopefully, someone will be along shortly to give you more complete information. Warm hugs to you... and positive thoughts that the MRIs show up nothing more. Whatever the result, keep us posted... the ladies here can be an incredible help to see you through the shock, anxiety etc.

    Thank you so much for the support! We just have to keep going don't we....it is all I know how to do. I thought it was over and bam..
