Thinking Out Loud.....

Too close to home. CEO had his huge flat screen TV on, everyone watching upstairs, TV on in the exercise room I could listen to it from my desk.
I'm less than an hour from Boston.
-
Linda, so good to hear you are OK....watching a marathon sounds like something you might do....I am heartbroken for these people...the scope is very large for such a primitive cheap shot at innocents and children. Some days i just don't understand....
I am sitting in the Astronomy room giving a test for a colleague and on my laptop...
Now, am fighting back tears....of anguish for Boston, and...joyful tears - Ducky, you darned made me cry here...some days life is just SOOOOO good...and I am glad you went. You deserve it. I don't love flying but I feel that now my kids are all grown and I had BC I am just going to do what I want to do.
Sheila, you are so good at figuring stuff out!!! Isn't it the most peaceful place? I just love when the sun goes down and the moon rises and all the Island food smells are wafting on the warm air...I thought of you and now understand why you can't wait to get to Hawaii.I felt the stress as soon as I got back to NY. And the cold.
Sandy your plan for today is great! You deserve it. You do so much...enjoy every minute!
Feel better, Chris....tree pollen is high today. I definitely have a sleep disorder...it's fixable, but I don't seem to want to fix anything.
pt - counting the weeks/day to your trip!Hugs & prayers for Boston and all who have loss and for those who care...
-
Can't stand watching tthe news, it's been on 24x7.
School vaca week too.
Hope you are all doing well.
-
Hi Linda....Hugs♥
I stopped watching it too
I read the 8 year old little boy who died....his mother has Brain Injuries and the little sister lost her leg
So so sorry for everything that happened in Boston
-
Joan....It was a beautiful place...
We took a boat tour picnic lunch....the guy dived and caught the fish after they took us to a deserted island and we had a nice lunch with fresh fish and drinks
On our way back he stopped in the middle of the ocean and the water was shallow we walked to another island....I thought i was in Heaven....It was priceless
And my camera broke so i only have the memories..........

I just can't get this knot out of my stomach. A young engineer at work was at the marathons finish line (not running) and decided he and his buddies go get something to eat. While they were waiting for their order the TV that was on in the store and they saw the bomb go off. OMG they had just left that area.

Good Night my friends

Linda, Deb, it must be difficult being so close...so many are affected by the tragedy.
Am trying to recover from the 3 busy days at the beginning of the week and Thursday PM I do not bring any work home at all. So I'm catching up on American Idol on DVR.
We found a guy to help level and seed the lawn, and he will plant shrubs at a very good price. So tomorrow I'll go pick out some shrubs and hope that the deer don't eat them.
Allergies kicked in today...took me off guard.
Wishing everyone a good night and better tomorrow. -
Good Morning!
-
Good Morning Linda........thinking about Boson.....hugs and prayers....
-
Still praying for the victoms of the bombing, of the Texas explosion, all the families and for the medical personel caring for them.

((((((Boston)))))) ((((((West, Texas))))))
Hope chemo isn't too hard on you, Sandy.
migraine for me (luckily was off yesterday to lay on the couch all day with it - took 3 Imitrex - didn't get rid of it all the way)..still some dizziness from inner ear... work 5-9 hoping to feel better later or tomorrow...
((((((TOL)))))))
-
Aww..Chris, those migraines are killer, especially if you have work to get to. My daughter gets migraines with cyclic vomiting - it's brutal.
Sandy - thinking of you and wishing you an easier time.
(((TOL)))
-
Hope you are feeling better. Chemo and migraines suck!
Vaca week is almost over.................thank GOD!!
-
9:28 pm
i missed you all....
♥
-
And we missed you. Do you need some teenagers?
-
No Thank You.....
-
I love Thursdays...normal work day; no urgent things to do for tomorrow...can relax at night and watch A.I. live.
We planted 20 little evergreen trees (5-6 feet) and got 2 piles of soil delivered. Guy is coming Saturday to seed the lawn. Deer will be thrilled when I plant some leafy shrubs.
Sheila, you on for next week? -
ugh- cyclic vomiting - that's horrible. I thought DD might have that when she was little - she grew out of it thankfully. I hope somehow it goes away for your DD. I didn't start having migraines until after DD was born. "D"H used to get bad migraines - but he got a bite guard to wear at night and doesn't get them anymore. I'm not sure DD is done with her weird vomiting. Last school year she had some issues reminiscent of when she was little. I was afraid for her for this year since she was stuck with some 8am classes she had to commute to, but she was lucky (as far as I know...) Wish I knew what the cause was. True cyclic vomiting sounds like a nightmare.
Awww - little trees. It's funny when we look back at pictures from the 90's and not only are the kids little, but the trees are too. The trees that are left (curse you Mother Nature) have gotten big (as have the kids.) Hope the deer don't eat all your plants.
lol Linda - offering teenagers - and Sheila turning down the offer. You guys are too funny.
-
sorry Chris about the headache...
Thanks shiela, was worried about you...for checking in
{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}} Joan, Linda, Ray, Deb, Chubba, and all othrs I forgot....
Me of course I am up at 322am, went to the bathroom WATERBUG, OMG, now I have to get spray for that.....now I have eaten 1/2 of a hershey bar, it was the smaller one.....going to take some benedryl to help me go to sleep soon...honestly don't mind being up, am a night person anyway and don't really have anything to do tomorrow....chemo was ok they had a phillies party with hot dogs, potato salad, macaroni salad, chips, popcorn, sodas, baked beans, sourkraut, chili for the hot dogs, cake, brownies, cookies, veggie tray.......the oncology unit is so wonderful to us......got chemo down to 5 things plus zometa....slept from 8 til 12.30 am and have been up since then....back next week....tomorrow or rather today should be fine, Saturday will be the bad day...
have a good day, bbl luv u guys!!!

The Devil is alive and well, and roaming the streets of Boston.......what is this world coming to.....it can happen anywhere............pray for our country......we need it desperately......
-
Sad to see this happening in my hometown! The Boston spirit is strong and proud, of which i am reminded while watching the media coverage.
-
My heart is broken all over again
Stay safe my dear friends
♥
-
Yes it is very sad. Police are everywhere in every toen. I had to go to the Hospital this morning in Needham, right on the outskirt of Boston. It's like a ghost town. I hope they get this bastard soon!
