Great race, ANNETTE47!
FIRSTCALL - love your fashion statement for the day! Thanks for sharing your number with us so we can track you. You're doing great!!!! Guess when you get this read you'll actually be done, but....
I don't post on here very often but I sure read this board religiously. Just want to say that I appreciate everyone who does post. It is entertaining, educational and nice to know we are all not alone. -
Whoo Hoo!
Firstcall is past the half! Keep those prayers going for strength, endurance, and injury free run and joy and exuberance too!
2:31:39 at the half!
Go Adrian!

Just read about an explosion along the marathon course near the finish line! :-o
Great to see firstcall making steady time. Hope that Roan and gg are doing well too!
Updated
CNN reporting runners being diverted around finish line and some reports race has been halted. Awful news. Serious injuries.
-
Just checked FCs times! I am so impressed!
Turned on the news for some reason......only to find there was an explosion near the finish line.......
My thoughts are with our runners and spectators and hoping everyone is safe and looking forward to hearing from our marathon runners so we know everyone is ok.
XOXOXOXO
Piper

Hope they are all doing well after the explosions. Makes me very nervous for them.
-
This is just sickening. My heart is heavy for the people of Boston and the running community.
Hope that all our friends are safe.
-
Just heard about the explosions as well - I was following FC till I got called into a meeting. Thinking and worried about our valiant BCO trio and all the other runners and spectators.
-
Live tracking still shows firstcall as moving. we don't have bib numbers for roan and groovygirls. tweets indicate newton fire has halted the race, but I guess people have to go somewhere. Will be just his luck that firstcall will be treating people in the medical tent when he gets there...
-
Boston runners - please ping us when you have the opportunity and let us know you are okay. Thinking of you and heartbroken over the news.
-
Thinking positive thoughts that our runners are OK, and hoping the injured get through this. Just horrible.
-
Thanks for the links, gold - I'm listening to the Boston TV coverage now. They say cells are not working well, so its hard for runners and loved ones to find each other now I imagine.
-
I just heard the horrible news. Prayers for all involved.
-
I just read all of the posts and turned on the news ... this is awful ... my heart goes out to all in Boston and especially to FC, Roan and GG and their friends/families ... I pray that you and your friends/families all are okay!! Sharon
-
BOSTON RUNNERS: EVERYBODY OK??????
-
Heartsick and infuriated.
-
This is sickening and disgusting. I pray that our runners and their families are safe and that the Boston authorities track down the instigators quickly.
-
I haven't been here in a long time...but I had to check in...FC, Roan and Groovygirls...I am hoping you are all okay.
What a sad day.
-
I just did a search for Roan on the BAA site and at 3pm she was at the 40K mark and her time was 4:15:28 ... going by that she should still have been on the race course when the bombs went off ...
FC was still on the race course, too.
GG probably was on the race course.
I really hope their family members weren't at the finish line area waiting for them.
-
Sickening is the word I keep thinking about. It's horrifying.
-
I hope FC is ok and his family. Such a lovely guy this break's my heart.
-
No words ... I'm heartsick. I pray to God all you Boston runners and spectators are safe.
-
Was just hoping to check in on FC, I see you have others running too. Praying for all. I heard they shut down cell towers so may be awhile till anyone hears anything.
-
This is a very sad day...we are thinking of you in Australia...
-
Just a quick note to let everyone know I'm ok. Its total Chaos here, but I am safe. I'll post a report later
-
Oh, I am so glad you are alright, FC!!!
-
Thank you FC for the quick note ... so happy that you are okay!!!! Sharon
-
So good to see your post, FC! Thanks so much for taking the time in the midst off all the chaos to let us know.
-
Thanks for letting us know, FC.
GROOVYGIRLS? ROAN? You guys and family / friends ok?
