PD991 or Palbociclib Receives FDA Breakthrough Designation

OMG, I am SO excited!!!! I had asked my MO if I could be included in the Phase III trial, but had already started letrozole, so was not eligible. For me, this drug seems to make sense, provides a MUCH longer disease-free progression with apparently MUCH less severe SEs than what I have been offered. I am to start Afinitor, but am really not impressed by the severe SE profile and the very short time to progression that it has. So I will be asking about this at my appointment next week!
