How did you explain a break in employment

hi

i resigned from my job when i got my diagnosis because after i finished chemo they kept asking me when i was coming back.  I didnt love my old job so I resigned and concentrated on my health.  I am going to venture into looking for a new job soon.  In august it will be 2 years since I worked.  How did you explain the prolonged break to a future employer?  I wont divulge all the cancer crap because i want a clean slate but i still need time for doctors appt that are still more frequent than i like.  Keep in mind i have NEVER been off work, not even when the kiddos were very young .  Just curious what you guys have told future employers...

    Hi, I would just say I decided to take a break from work and/or I had some health issues at the time. On your resume you can just say that you took a break or didn't work during the period.



    When you have an interview, you can ask about what provisions there are for time off for appointments.
