Implants: Smooth Round Silicone v Teardrop Implants

Hi Ladies, I have had my Allergan teardrop 410MX 550cc implants in for 2 months. They are a slighty odd shape- D cup wide and B-C projection. I have to wear a D bra, but do not fill out the end of it. Bit dissappointed! Because they are wide and flat-ish they are also firm, dense and not very movable. Doc suggested revision to clear scar tissue (improve projection) or swap to a smooth round implant.

Would really love to hear from ladies with smooth round implants.

*Can I still get s natural look with round silicone.

*Are they soft and comfortable

*Are they pliable/flexible in a bra ( my teardrops are not)

*Can you wear a push up bra and give yourself some/more upper pole fullness if you want.

*What is projection like

My mounds are so non sexual, so am starting to think I may want a slighty sexier round breast to replace that loss. Anyone feel the same?

    Virgilia,

You might want to post this question in the Reconstruction Forum of this board. You'll get a lot more answers there.  Breast Reconstruction

I will say that from my understanding the problems that you describe actually tend to be lessened by the teardrop shape implants.  Teardrops usually have a more natural shape, provide more projection and are less flat. You might get more upper pole fullness from a round implant but with that you may lose some projection.  So I don't know that you will be any happier with the results with a round implant.  I believe that the round gel implants are a bit softer than the 410s (I have a 410) but as far as I know, implant reconstructed breasts never are very moveable, whatever implant you have. The simple fact is that an implant reconstructed breast is not a real breast and it will never act and move and feel like one.

I have smooth, round, high-profile Mentor silicone implants, 600cc on the left and 650 cc on the right.  I am 5'2" and wear a size 4-6 in clothing.  I measure a 34DD in a bra but look like a full C visually.  In a 34DD underwire I do fill out the entire cup.  I have not tried anything push-up because I don't want any more than I already have!  I was full B-small C naturally.  I did have fat-grafting after exchange to add the fat to the upper pole for a natural look.  I had skin/nipple sparing so even though they are not the originals they do look decent.  The implants themselves are pretty squishy and soft, but definitely firmer than natural breast tissue.
