....or at least it feels that way. Serious "cat tongue" here, seeing onc. in 2 days for 2nd treatment, I hope she can suggest something for this..I have no mouth blisters, food and drink still tastes as they should. Did anyone else have this, and what was suggested to lube the tongue up better than water? I drink plenty of liquids during the day, resulting in waking up hourly overnight to fly to the bathroom!

    Lana, have you tried a moisturizing mouthwash, like Biotene?     Deanna

    going to oncologist tomorrow for 2nd treatment, if thrush is white coating, I don't have that. tongue looks/feels raw.

    I had the same exact thing... I called it sewer mouth. Felt like I always had bad breath, couldn't taste much, and tongue was rough. It would begin within a week of chemo, and subside just before my next round! Sucking on mints throughout the day helped, as did the biotene toothpaste and mouthwash. Just put a little of the mouth wash in a bottle in your purse so you always have it :) good luck!
