AMERICAN IDOL...Season 12 & The Voice...Season 4

Nite nite!!!
-
It's not the judges...they want Lazaro gone and no way would they use the save on him. Poor Burnell..he outed his big crush on Amber last night and now they will have to part (until the Idol Tour that is.) Did you see how he ended his save song, a love song, right in front of her. Amber could care less about his puppy love, but Candice was so sweet and crying real tears for him.
Another thing I meant to comment on...Jimmy Iovine is the only one keeping it real on this show. Love him!
-
Thought of that sheila, they would save Janelle, maybe Keith is leading the judges more than we think? julz. Nigel must be spitting nails right now!
-
Karen....Is GA a repeat?.....It's taping
AI become a Mystery Show...LOL
-
Sheila, don't know, I went downstairs to my daughter's and was railing about AI and Lazaro, so missed Gray's, going to bed and read, that top three got me all riled up. Had seven errands today and I am pooped, will probably read 2 pages and fall asleep!
-
Don't the judges have to eliminate two contestants the next week if they use the save?
I dislike the tone of this season and the use of Jimmy's saying that Lazaro (sp) should go home virtually everytime his views are broadcast. We should remember that everything that is recorded is edited to the desires of the producer. There is some logic, raising viewership? Who knows. I felt that the judges were told to be easier on Lazaro because heavy criticism has historically brought a backlash vote for the contestant. I think what I am reacting to what seems to be an obvious attempt to force a female winner. Of course the production company is all tied into the recording group and the concert and recording incomes. It isn't just a talent contest. I wonder if anything is straight forward anymore?
I am not very much of an optimist today.

Ginger all the back lash to push through a female winner has had a negative impact on American Idol's numbers in the 18-49 women bracket which is one of the key demographics. Last week their numbers fell to an all time low of 2.5 million viewers. I'm afraid they could very much be in jeopardy of getting cancelled because the producers wanted another female winner and they got rid of the really good looking guys that could sing. (We all know that this is true) and they didn't do such a great job picking the females in my opinion either. LOL!! Although a few have improved. Let's face facts. The producers ARE NOT going to let Lazaro win because he will not sell cd's he will be another Chris Allen.
-
Chris Allen who ??????????????
Hi Ginger..
-
No I don't think Lazaro will win, I think the show is being obviously manipulated this year. Ug Gah!
Chris Allen was such a mess. I was at the concert and Adam led into the final singer in a way that the audience would't boo Chris Allen. Adam did that so well. Adam is amazingly good. I wish he would go back to broadway so I could go see him in a show. He was an understudy in the Wicked performance that I saw. I didnt know who he was then though.
I feel bad for Lazaro, like all of them he is trying his best. The commentary I have seen has been brutal towards him. What has been going on isn't his fault.
-
Hi ladies! Yes, it's so obvious they want a female winner this year. They may have cut off their nose to spite their face this time.
When I was watching that hunka hunka burning love Casey James perform, I thought if he was on this year he would win on looks alone (of course with the teenage girl vote, and I think they've lost them this year).
I think Candice is my favorite this year. When she starts singing in the group songs, you know it's her. She has a powerful voice. I don't know what it is about Kree, but to me, yo, she doesn't seem to sing with much soul. I was not moved during her Janis Joplin song. I don't particularly like Heart, but Amber did great with her song. I love what Keith said about Lazoro's attitude after he finished singing Queen: "There! I'm THROUGH with this song!" It looked exactly like that, haha.
Oh well, I'm obviously a terrible judge because on The Voice they pass on all kinds of singers I like! I wish they had shown that good-looking guy from Hawaii singing... Well, we'll have another chance because I think he's on Adam's team.
-
Gingerbrew is right. Whomever it is that is keeping Lazaro around at this point (thousands of wacky voters, whatever) is being very cruel. At this point, any honest comment about his singing is going to be brutal, hence the phrase "brutally honest." No one says he's not a nice person, but is he an American Idol? No. His best is not good enough.
That is interesting about the ratings, Mimi, because although the talent is not too bad this year, the format changes have not been for the better and the manipulation is so obvious. This year the contestants seem kind of homogenized. The seasons I really liked had Adam Lambert, Brooke the blonde folkie girl, Jason the dreadlocked kid, Blake the human beat box, that tattooed Irish bartender gal, Daughtry, and my girl Crystal Bowersox. Those seasons were just more entertaining.
-
elimar, you can see the group keeping Lazaro in at Vote the Worst American Idol, it is all terribly unfair to all parties. The show would do well to eliminate the site where you designate all 50 votes for one person, they can still phone but that requires separate phone calls. JMO on how to prevent a repeat of Thurs. night, where he ended in the top three.
-
Voting system is not fair at all
50 votes can easily get to 500 if you ask your family or friends to vote for your Idol
I wish they will find a way that everybody can only vote once....
Elimar I loved Crystal Bowersox.....
something drastically changed this year...it looks like the show took control of everything
Hi Ladies......
Those who love country music don't forget to turn it in tomorrow night for ACA..........
-
sheila, see you at 8, should be a wonderful show!
-
Hi Karen
My eyes are very happy....(((BLAKE)))
♥
-
I have a feeling our eyes look the same!!! Lots of good performances, many groups and singles I don't recognize. Sure do recognize Blake, looking forward to two nights of The Voice. Just to wash the taste of AI out of my mouth and eyes, did see Keith, he looks great too.
-
-
Is that his newest song?, sure was good, I'm going to be getting his newest CD, I've played His Greatest Hits all weekend, I just love Some Beach and Goodbye Time, also Who Are You When I'm Not Looking. Miranda sure has been looking wonderful, can't wait to hear her sing. Im surprised Carrie's Blown Away didn't get Album of the Year.
-
Blake looked sooooo handsome in his suits
Yes Miranda looks wonderful........
I enjoyed the song
My ears are happy
Can't wait until tomorrow to make my eyes happy again
-
-
My lord what a handsome couple, loved when he leaned over and kissed her on the head.
-
I know Karen you and I must be separated at birth
-
We do react the same to a number of different things both on country music, AI and The Voice, always wanted a sister.
-
I'm the only child.....
-
Me too, OMG!!!
-
OMG !
-
Miranda is cleaning up tonight, she is such a genuine good person, wonder if she or Blake will get Artist of the Year?
-
I'm happy with the either one.....
Taylor S doesn't do anything for me...I always wondered why???
-
Can Keith play or what?, that was amazing, I was just mesmerized by him, Taylor doesn't do anything for me either.
-
Yes he played from his soul...
