I'm not sure if you are saying that MSK in NYC is okay or you would like a recommendation for a breast surgeon at an MSK-Long Island satellite location such as MSK-Comack.

I cannot help with Long Island-located, but if you are willing to travel to NYC, I can highly recommend my surgeon, Virgilio Sacchini at MSK.  When I was diagnosed a year ago, my NYC-based ob-gyn told me to go straight to MSK and see Dr. Sacchini.  It was absolutely the right advice.  I found him to be incredibly skilled as well as very kind and caring.  I trust him completely and recommend him most highly.

I'm having my mastectomy on Monday, with Dr Sclafani from MSK Commack office. The surgery, however, is done in the city at the main hospital. I've heard nothing but great things about her. She's patient and gentle and I have complete faith in her!

i have set up an appt. to see Dr. Sclafani.  I wonder how many of her patients are happy with her.  Does she have a good track record?  I want somebody how is patient centered and aggressive as well.  I plan to wait a few years for reconstruction.

My breast surgeon is in Forest Hills - Queens and to me he is the best. Where in Long Island are you?
