Hi There,

I swear I am alwys posting with a new symptom. I would so appreciate your opioun though:) about 3 weeks I increased my dosage of my celexa. The dosage doubled. I then started getting really bad gas. ( sorry I know gross) I read up the gas is a common side effect of this drug. The gas got better but  still each day, usually in the morning after i have coffee, I get little twinges on my right side or lower abdomen. ( over from my belly button) It comes and go, is very slight, and moves around. Seems to happen after I eat. And yes I have gas. It's not painful, just a twinge. I guess I am concerend I am mistaking this for gas instead of realizing it could be liver mets. Does anyone know what symtoms of liver mets might be? I don't have any other symptoms and if I take some aspirin the twinges go away all together. Yesterday after lunch I took a half a xanax and 2 aspirin and had no issues the rest of the day. I appreciate any help you can give me:)

I think it is probably just gas.

I am very, ummm, gassy myself! I eat a mostly vegetarian diet, lots of beans, and I think this doesn't help. The evil C being the cause has crossed my mind as well. But for me I have had it for sometime and I sort of think if it was liver mets I would have other symptoms by now. I think pain associated with the liver is usually higher up, almost under the ribs. The area you're describing sounds more intestinal. And if you're not nauseous I would think all is probably well.

Maybe your gall baldder?  The symptoms usually come in the middle of the night, for some reason, and tend to be on the right side. I had two attacks last Fall, and the pain was not in the same spot each time, but it was on the right and accompanied by gas.

Now, I've had bad gas attacks before and knew that wasn't the cause, only a by-product. My GP diagnosed it after I gave him a strong hint ("Doc, I'm pretty sure it's my gall bladder." ) In December, just after Christmas, it became so inflammed they had to remove it.

Pure...pain that comes and goes generally is not mets.....from what I've gathered from questions my onc asks, its pain that last for several weeks and gets worse (of course worsening pain can be other things like nancy's gall bladder).....

Then again, it could be Norovirus!  Trust me, you don't want this, but you will at least be certain it's nor mets.  Hope you have more than one bathroom if it is.

I suspect you are just fine.  Just back off on the celexa....and perhaps a bit of the fiber.  Really.....sometimes low fiber with starchy foods is what the body needs.  (This reminds me of the time I tried eating NINE veggies/fruits a day.  Don't do that one either.)

Now that we have things "in balance".....do you feel tons better?  Happy Easter! - Claire
