Rads after chemo

How long do they wait to start rads after chemo? I have to have surgery in between that so maybe the question is also how long do they wait after LN surgery to start rads??

So sorry no one has responded here! If I recall correctly my onc prefers to wait 6-8 weeks, plus ensure clearance is given by the surgeon. You definitely want to be fairly healed first.

For me, it was about four weeks. They checked my WBC a couple of times to make sure it was going up, after chemo. When it was in the normal range, they started rads.

Thanks! I want to meet the RO and have an idea what the time frame is going to be.

same for me, they waited 4 weeks after chemo, checked WBC levels sometime in between and then started radiation.
