I have metastatic breast cancer that in the past has responded well to chemo then hormonals.  This latest round they found a 1 cm lump in my remaining breast, 2 spots on my liver, and inflammation in the peritoneum suspect for cancer.  The PET didn't show tumors just some suspicious inflammation and since I have been experiencing bloating the likely cause is cancer spread.  I am currently on chemo (DOXIL).  I have heard of spread to the liver and the other breast but the peritoneum is what is freaking me out.  Has anyone had any experience with this as there doesn't seem to be much reported on this.  Also my cancer is Ductal when anytime I have read about the spread to the peritoneum it has been from lobular.  Thanks

    Hey Blondie, I am sorry to hear your news. Cancer stinks! For me, I had mets in both ovaries, tubes and peritoneum. I did have ILC. I am currently on a clinical trial. Friday is my first checkup since starting the trial. Good luck to you and please stay in touch.
