Non-itchy and non-painful marks on breast that come and go?
Hello. I am a 27 year old white female with no family history of BC. For the past couple of weeks I've been having these strange marks appear on my left breast. They appear suddenly, and go away within a few hours to a day. They don't hurt nor do they itch. They are small (like a 1/4 centimeter) flat, pink and are usually round and surrounded by tiny red veins. They appear one at a time. Could this be hormonal? I just got over my menstrual cycle about a week and a half ago and was experiencing some breast pain. During that time I had discovered a soft, painful lump and went to the Dr. He preformed a breast exam and ultrasound and found nothing abnormal and diagnosed me with Fibrocystic Breast Disease. That lump doesn't hurt anymore, but I started noticing these marks after the doctor. I've also been getting sporadic stining/burning sensations in the same breast. I'm starting to get extremely worried that it's something more serious. Could this be IBC? I am freaking out. Please help!

Hi ronniexo,
I wish I had an answer for you. I know how afraid you are.
I just wanted to say HI! I know you are sitting by the computer waiting for answers. We've all been there, and understand your fears.
I have to say though, this is not a presentation I have heard of before, and it is important that you try to put this in perspective. There is far more chance of this turning out to be nothing at all, than it being cancer.
Try to stay busy, and stay off google, it will scare you with information that really isn't relevent to you. Come here often and ask whatever questions you want. There will be someone along to answer your fears.
You don't mention if you have another appointment to see the Doctor, if I were you, I would make one, just for the peace of mind. You will send yourself mad with worry if you don't. Remember though, it is likely something unrelated to BC.
Take care and let us know how you are doing!

Hi Ariom and thank you for the reply. I'm trying my best to stay off of Google, but it's so hard. I have an appointment on Thursday with a breast specialist, but I don't know how I'm going to make it! I have severe anxiety and hypochondria which makes all of this so much worse.

I had something similar, turned out to be unrelated to BC, but a dermatisis (rash) that developed after my implant exchange. And only on one foob. It is finally under control (after 5 months!) and I'm using an over-the-counter anti-itch cream when a new spot or rash appears and it abates. I had to switch out all my laundry detergent, fabric sofener, dishwashing detergent, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and lotion to hypoallergenic/non-fragrance brands. I saw five different doctors (PCP, onco, plastic surgeon and 2 dermos) and no one could come up with anything other than contact dermatitis. I would suggest getting in to see a dermotologist ASAP. Keep us posted! PS Pics of my rash are on my blog (http://thebigcandme.blogspot.com/2013/02/rashes-and-scars-and-cancer-oh-my.html)

Hello Ronniexo, I have something similar going on right now with my rt breast. It's like a skin lesion, mine has begun to blister and last night I had a thick puss pocket come out from where the blister was. I have a apt for a surgical consult April 5. BC run strong on my family lost my mom in 2002. I'm trying not to freak out about this also. I just love the fact that we have a place to discuss and talk openly about our fears. :-)
