    Hi Bhiri,

I have been using Modified Citrus Pectin for over a year now, I have also had a bilateral mastectomy, lymph nodes were negative, but I had triple negative instead of ER PR positive. So different treatments...I've had chemotherapy also....but I have followed the literature on MCP which is very impressive. I have found a good source of literature review for MCP on the educational website dreliaz.org in the research section. As it turns out, some MCP sold does not have a small enough molecular size to be absorbed systemically, so its very important to look at the research and get the kind used in the studies. It makes a big difference because the ways MCP works with cancer is to bind to an inflammatory molecule called Galectin-3, a sticky protein which helps cancer cells stick together and form tumors. MCP inhibits this process as well as inhibiting blood vessel formation to tumors, and it also removes heavy metals.....I take 11/2 scoops twice per day mixed in some warm water... on an empty stomach as recommended away from other supplements by at least 30 minutes. I have had no side effects. They say occasionally people get loose stool. Its very gentle and safe and has been used to treat children with acute lead toxicity with no side effects.....you can look at all the studies and see for yourself. I will probably take it for the rest of my life...you can also ask your doctor to test your Galectin-3 levels in your blood to see if they are elevated which is often the case with cancer. But you don't need the blood test to get all the many benefits...and its made from the rind of citrus....how wonderful in this world of so many toxic treatments....I hope this helps, Elaine
