Bluebonnets seem to have gone the way of the drought this year.  Love the flower pics.  Only flower bed is very hot west facing and gets lots of bounce off heat from brick veneer yet it usually drowns in the spring.  Need to cut the stupid bushes back again when I can talk DH into it; me not competent with elec. hedge trimmer.  They completely dwarf over the front of the bed yet are thin in the middle.  Forget what they are.  Thigh high, common landscape bush here.  Some poor neglected irises in there where a bush must have died.  Bought 3 heirloom tomato plants and 2 more mint plants.  Have 3 sad mint plants inside and one that has once again survived outside, but this year we had little cold weather despite a couple of snows (Christmas Day for one).  I'm thinking some of houseplants going back to patio this weekend.  I can always cover them with something if we get another cold dip (27 degrees one morning last week).

Barbe - Have you tried gallon milk jugs or is that still too heavy for your LE?  I use those inside (actually have Arizona tea jug that I like so much better, heavier gauge plastic).

Goats, it would take forever to water my garden jug by jug! I get DH to use the watering can when he will do it, but it really needs a hose. I'm going to do some container gardening on the porch this summer and will have to use the can.

My DH hooked up a little pump to our koi pond and I can use a hose and water my garden with 'fish water'!

Roatan was my favorite Port because you can snorkle the live reef right off the beach. No excursion necessary.By the time we got to Cozumel the weather had turned cold so we did not even bother with a beach spent the whole day shopping.Good thing I had a girlfriend with me and not my DH.

HaHaHa!  To keep our koi healthy we "change" some of the water several times a week.  It takes the level down about 6-10 inches, and we trickle water back in during the night to refill it.  Since the pond is over 4 feet deep, they don't miss the water.  It's amazing how much I can get watered that way.

Mumito, what wonderful pics, they bring back memories of a cruise dh and I were on a couple of years ago.  Belize and Costa Maya were great.  DH and I went on a tour that was biking and kayaking.  The day was very windy and the waves were quite high. Well, we were thrown out of the kayak and I did not have any upper body strenght to pull myself in.  So it was a bit scary.  We eventually came upon a reef and I was able to pull myself in.  My sister was taking pictures of us the whole time.  The best part was that I did not lose my glass or visor.  What a relief.  We laughed about it once we were on land and the water was warm.  The trip was wonderful and wish I was there right now.

I can't wait for spring, this cold and snow is getting to me.

    Hugs to all, Cheryl

What is that body of water Lisa?

I soooo want to do a cruise to Caribbean. Gotta figure out a way to get that on my schedule. I figure finding a roommate will be the easy part!

Joni, I would love nothing more than travelling with you - truly!

Lisa, my geography so sucks, I should have known that!

I just posted this picture on another thread thinking I was on this one! Someone had a beach shot so I should be forgiven for posting it there :) I went to a work conference in Laguna Beach, CA yrs ago and my room was right on the Pacific. This was one of the views I had one night. Tough to have to go out of town for work :)

I so miss my DD#1 living in Monterey, CA, I love the beaches and all the fantastic ocean views.  Plus it was a lot closer to visit than Japan!
