Axillary Dissection Level?

Just wondering at surgery how many of you had the level 1 only axillary dissection? I am wondering with inflammatory the level 2 or 3 should be done as well. I my breast surgeon is only planning on level one. I want to of course avoid lymphedema, but want to be sure enough lymph nodes are taken.

I had ibc. My doctor recommended that all my lymph nodes under my arm be taken out at surgery

and they were.

Annie,

I was stage IV from the start so my surgeon only took out about 4 lymph nodes since I already had bone mets.
