    I am hoping to have reconstructive surgery after my Mastectomy, and am wondering what financial assistance is available in Canada

    I'm not in Ontario, but my understanding is that all reconstruction is covered by OHIP, just as it is in all provinces.  I'm sure some of the Ontario ladies will pop in tomorrow & give you better information than I can.  Sorry that you're here, but you will find this a great forum for information.  GG

    I had reconstruction in Ontario in late Oct 2012 and OHIP paid for it. Be prepared that the wait can be long, and do your homework to find a good surgeon. Good luck with your reconstruction!
