Dr. B. Czerniecki breast cancer vaccine

Dr. B. Czerniecki of the University of Pennsylvania Hospital has a breast cancer vaccine in trials that appears to be effective against a type of DCIS breast cancer.
Dr. B. Czerniecki has plans to start trials using vaccines for other types of breast cancer as soon as he receives funding.
Has anyone had any experience with this doctor and his vaccine?
I am hopeful he will start vaccine trials soon for other types of breast cancer if his claims are valid and that he gets the funding he needs.
You can see Dr. B. Czerniecki of his YouTube video and you can also Google Dr. B. Czerniecki to get more imformation on him.

Experience with the doctor. No experience with the vaccine. However, I have heard him speak about his research and sure hope that he gets funding to continue. Dr. Czerniecki will be speaking on DCIS at the annual conference of the PA Breast Cancer Coalition in Harrisburg, PA on October 13. http://www.pabreastcancer.org/conf_info.html

I had Dr. Czerniecki as my surgeon and he was terrific. There is an organization called Pennies in Action (or something like that) that is raising money to support his research. I think they have a web site.

Dr. Brian Czerniecki could have a vaccine for Her 2 invassive breast cancer in trials within months. His DCIS BC vaccine has already shown success in phase 1 trials
All he is waiting for is the funding.
Please call breast cancer funding institutions and your local politicians and request they support this vaccine trial.

Hi Everyone! I am happy to report that Dr.Czerniecki plans to open two new trials for Estrogen Positive and Triple Negative INVASIVE Breast cancers. Women will complete their treatment and then get the vaccine.
The trial I was in for DCIS that is Her2+ had astonishing results, 70 women so far were vaccinated and NOT ONE has had their cancer come back.
Check out Pennies in Action.org for more info or email me sdodt@me.com and I will forward info to you.

Dr. Gary Koski (Kent State University) is a co developer of the vaccine with Dr. Brian Czerniecki (University of Pennsylvania). Because Gary is a PhD in Immunology and non-clinical, Brian gets most of the attention since he is also an Oncological Breast Surgeon as well as PhD in Immunology. They have worked together for YEARS on this and both of them couldn't be nicer persons!

Dr Czerniecki was my BS in 2011. Initially I was diagnosed with DCIS and was directed to him for surgery. After my initial biopsy, I called HUP for a surgical appointment. The receptionist took my info and medical history before assigning me to Dr C. He seemed to be the expert on DCIS. Unfortunately, he found more invasive cancer in my other breast. I would have loved to be considered for his vaccine. However, it was not to be. As mentioned above, he is a terrific doctor. I recommend him all the time.

Do you have to be HER2+?
-
baseballfan - here is the trial - it does appear that it is limited to Her2+ DCIS:

Yes, for the new trial 4/13 you must be her2 positive at least 2+. But there are other trials on BCTrials.org for other vaccines.
-
He has not yet started the new trial. Penn is just announcing it. It is expected to get IRB approval and be open in April. It is for Er+, Her2+ and patients will get vaccine along with chemo. These patients will be invasive locally advanced.
The other one will be for triple negative invasive patients. -
I will post the moment the new trial is open. I raise funds with Pennies in Action 501c3 to support this very research. Please watch on You Tube: A Cure Within
I got this vaccine and desperately WANT IT FOR EVERYONE!!!! -
Saving this thread to my favorites. I had an appt with Dr Czerniecki last month and he mentioned I might be a good candidate for the trial. I just finished chemo and have not set the surgery date yet. I will have to talk to him more about it at my next appt.

Praise God! Dr.Czerniecki is wonderful and his vaccine is so easy to take and has very little side effects. I got the DCIS/Her2/neu one four years ago. You won the BC lottery! This trial should start in the next month. Please email me anytime sdodt@me.com
Congrats! After all you have been through having this kind of protection using your own immune system is a miracle. -
I was a recent participant in Dr. Czerniecki's DCIS her2+ trial. Unfortunately, my post surgery pathology report showed an area of IDC within the DCIS and I am now in the middle of chemotherapy treatment. Sounds like I would have been a better candidate for the new IDC trial as I regret waiting the 4+ months between initial diagnosis and surgery.

Dr. Czerniecki published a paper a few years ago where they discovered 21% of women who clinically presented as DCIS actually when surgery was done and path report came back actually HAD invasive ductal carcinoma all along. So even before you went into the trial, this invasive component probably was present.
At the least, this newly discovered area is now Her2/negative and only ER+positive. The new trial will have ladies getting the vaccine along with herceptin to see if synergistically they work better together. There is also a trial using the Her1 and Her3 peptides along with the Her2 for triple negative invasive BC.
I am sorry you have to go on chemo but GLAD you know about the Penguin cold cap! The chemo is a process and you will BE DONE with it in a few months. If you want me to copy you on that article I mentioned, email me at sdodt@me.com. I got my vaccine in 2009.
