    Ladies, I am 10 weeks post chemo and 7 weeks after surgery and I am so tired. I feel like I've regressed. Does it take a long time to feel better? I am back to work full time. Am I not being patient enough.

    Mags what a time you have had but so glad you are now on the mend. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that the recon will work and no more hospital stays for you.  Warm hugs coming your way.

    Hope it takes a long long while to come right after chemo and surgery and you are working full time so know where you are coming from there.  I don't have half the stamina I had before treatment but it is coming back slowly as it will for you.  Take baby steps and rest when you can and don't try to rush things.  Put your feet up when you can and try to take a little walk each day.  You will soon feel better. Sending big hugs.

    I clean my shower door with Dawn dish detergent and white vinegar.  Equal amounts of both. Heat the vinegar in a microwave until warm.  Add the dish detergent and put in a spray bottle.  Spray on shower door and let set for a few minutes.  Rinse off.  Don't do the stupid thing I did and put the hot vinegar and dish detergent in a plastic spray bottle while boiling hot.  It melts the bottle!

    After I clean the shower door then I spray Rain X on it.  Really helps to keep the soap scum from coming back.

    Gilly- your water must be REALLY hard! I have a friend who uses a steam cleaner. Hope you find something that works!

    Gilly, another suggestion.  After you get that door clean and shiny again, put a sgueegy (sp?) right in the shower and clean off the door after each shower.  Quick and easy and keeps it pretty good for quite a while.

    Titan - you sly one.  I didn't know you were named after a ship!!  I was just named after my grandma,  not half as impressive.  She got you back there didn't she lol.

    OK ladies what have you got on the agenda for the weekend.  Apart from LUV celebrating and NavyMom vaccuming!!!  what are we all going to do, any suggestions.

    Hopex3- Wow...you're working full time and worried about being still tired. Of course you are!  But it WILL get better.  I finished chemo Oct. 30, and was still tired at Christmas time, as I remember. But now I have a bunch of energy.  Not as fast when I walk as I was, but that will improve, I know.

    Thanks to all those who've posted funny pictures. I've copied and saved them; will send them to my (newly diagnosed lung cancer) sister when I know she's ready for some cheering things.  Right now she's just ready for hugs and reassurances. 

    Lumpectomy vs mastectomy ?  There have been lots of responses about that.  Here's one more which I now think is pretty funny.  My surgeon recommended mastectomy because i'm so small, if she'd done a lumpectomy there wouldn't have been enough left to make a difference. !!!!  I'm ok with what was done.   Nat

    Hope Honey, you got the pot of gold. Your cancer was found,  unexpectedly yes but it was found,  and you got treated in time. Now you gotta go and do a whole lot of living love. You have many years ahead of you yet girl. Have a beer for me. xxx

    Yay Luv! Glad to hear it's working!

    This flu is kicking my butt. Very nasty, I haven't been this sick since... chemo :( And I caught it from my son, who DID have the flu vaccine. PSA - if you start to come down with what feels like the flu, see your doc within 48 hours of symptom onset so you can get Tamiflu!

    Hey...so I have a question for you all since I can't find a board better fitting for the question ...but for all of the woman who have had mastectomies with or without reconstruction, did any of you end up with a section that has poor blood flow and turned a very very dark red color? My plastic surgeon said that I have a small spot that has poor blood flow, but he pushed on it with some pressure and it changes color which means it still has SOME blood going to it...he said f it completely loses blood flow that ill have to go in for another minor surgery, remove that section of skin, and stitch it back up..but my question is, I start chemo on the 25th, will that affect the surgery if I need to have it? My worry is, I can't start expanding my tissue expander until he sees where this section of skin goes...so I don't want him to decide "well I don't have Time to keep an eye on it and decide from there, so were going to just cut it out ASAP" jut wanted to know If anyone has had this small complication with their first chemo treatments right around the corner...I have an appointment with my plastic surge Wednesday and ill ask him then, but I jut wanted to get info sooner! Thanks :)

    Keke...I didn't have anything like that happen to me. I did have either an infection or bruise on my whole foobie. It started out red, then purple and yellow. My PS was not sure what it was but its gone away now. Your PS will know what to do. Sorry, I'm not much help. Let us know what your PS says on Wednesday.
