Thanks mimi, I see we are both country fans, I know Keith was pleased they made it through, he is so genuine when he talks to them. Do you intend to watch The Voice this season?

Liked Burnell's singing tonight a lot more than last night. I'd have liked Victor or Nick in the top 10 instead of Lazaro. Lazaro was horendous singing "Bridge over Troubled Water." The original vocals on that song are so clear and perfect, so pure, and unless you can achieve that, don't waste your time. Also, (this might be a weird comment) he needs special tailoring on his pants because every pair I have seen him in is bunched up at the crotch. No, I don't look specifically, but why should he have that same problem night after night? It's weird. Speaking of weird, I cannot watch Paul's mouth when he sings. I know there is nothing riding on their performances tonight, but I'm gonna get my feeling out anyway. I wasn't a big Devin fan, but he won me over a little tonight with his victory song. Again, they need to take Curtis out and just cut a gospel album with him; but if he is going to be around competing for a title that he will not win, I want to see him and Candice continue their love connection. They are both single, aren't they?
Candice, Angela and Kree...great singing tonight and I liked the way they worked the stage. They were no-brainers to get selected (but you never know with the crazy voting sometimes.) The other two girls will round out the Tour nicely.
Going out on a limb to say I think Devin might be a dark horse (if he gets every hispanic vote in America, as there are no Latinas featured) and that he may stick around longer than most of the other guys, but don't think he can win the big enchilada. Even more convinced now that it will be a "girl year."
Glad to see Jimmy Iovine lurking around and I hope he gets to school them in the upcoming weeks. He's brutal, unlike those guest mentors who are usually sweet natured.

Elimar....Loved your post.....honest and clear......
...You are too funny.....LOL
I was watching some reruns of LOST...You came to my mind
I didn't watch the last season all the time because I had no idea what was going on
......still it was one of the best shows ever..........
-
Yes Karen I will be watching the Voice and probably the X factor too! I voted for Tate last yr LOL! Yes I am a big country fan. I am a huge Darius Rucker (sp?) fan even though I loved Hootie and the Blow Fish. I also loved Charlie Pride... my point is I'm not picky about the color or a country singer and long as they sing it well. Ha! I even had an old Freddy Fender 8 track back in the day
Telling my age... Nope it was my dad's. Also had a Donna Fargo 8 track and the Grass Roots (which I loved and I played it till it wore out) would love to get my hands on it in CD form. They were an awesome group.
Hoping Idol looks up from here on out. But I did look on my twitter acct. and Angie has over 30,000 followers, then Lazaros with over 18,000, then Kree with a little over 10,000 followed by Janelle with a little ove 6,000. The rest go down from there. If that is any indication of the people voting these folks could be in trouble.
-
I voted for Tate too, love Charlie Pride's Kiss An Angel Good Morning, I had an 8 track in my first car, lol. Have you tried Amazon for The Grass Roots, might have it is cassette form, I think all the 8 tracks self destructed! Lazarro in second place, oh dear, the girls will have their work cut out for them (Janelle and Kree).
-
Did someone mentioned Tate......
Renee X Factor doesn't start until the fall...right
I'll be watching both shows as i always did
I love Voice....more for the judges
-
No, I don't read the posts here on reveal night, because I'm the last one to see AI on the Left Coast. So go ahead with the spoilers, Ladies!
Anyone up for a recap?
Let's see...the judges are coming out...Nicki seems to have trouble walking on those funky shoes, and Mariah is wearing...a Hefty Bag? They finally get shown the way to their seats (they can't figure it out on their own?) and the show can start!
(OT - Mariah is soooo boobalicious tonight! Implants? No implants? I must have boob envy tonight.
)
As Nicki says, Ho Kay! Ryan is in "the room." Guys are nervous. Charlie kisses his turtle for good luck. And it's...
PAUL!!! He must really be choked up with emotion, as he can barely squeak out his Victory song. KU tells him he finally channeled his theatrics into passion. Uh hunh.
Next up is...
BURNELL! I finally figured out who he reminds me of!!! Jackie Evancho...that little blond girl who sings opera. She stands there stock-still, and just reaches out with alternating hands the whole time she sings. And I decided firmly that I HATE the way he sings in his lower registers...it sounds like a cartoon voice. Other than that, he was good!
Our third winner is...
CURTIS!!! "What? Me? Oh, I'm so surprised!" Yeah, right... The guy can sing. Now if he can just get a shirt that fits so he doesn't have to tug at it the whole time he's on stage, he'll be fine.
The remaining guys in the room are looking a little green around the gills.
Next to be called is...
DEVIN!!! He's so humble, yet he springs into his song, walking around, slapping the hands of the stage groupies just like a seasoned pro. His mama is proud!!! She gets to come up on stage and squeeeeeeeeze him, then hang out with Ryan.
Oh, man, the rest of the guys in the room are sneaking looks at each other and sweating it. Charlie looks like he's either sick or near tears. Uh oh, do they have someone monitoring that room when only the losers are left?
Our final guy contestant is...
LAZARO????????????? Ho kay! I like him, have empathy for him, he's got a great back story, but, well, this is a singing competition. Like MC tells him, he does get more confident every time he goes on stage, but his singing voice is not really the best...I would have preferred Nick. But that's just me.
Charlie, Nick, Vincent, Elijah, and Cortez are brought out onstage and given the Bum's Rush.
Now - the girls!!!
Ryan announces that it's "Third Times The Charm" for...
JANELLE!!! She's perkier and bubblier tonight than I've ever seen her. Like her voice, but will they have two country singers voted in?
Next up is...
CANDICE! Gosh - I LOVE her voice. And I like that she's a bigger girl. If Simon were there, he might have called attention to it. She performs a flawless Victory song.
Our third finalist is...
ANGIE!!! I REALLY do not want to like her. But for some reason, I do. Jimmy Iovine sure looks happy
.... It's funny, the lyrics to her Victory song sound like her Leaving song. What's this? KU is in TEARS!!!!!! I know she kind of sucked, but to make him cry? Oh, wait, he's just happy and emotional. Never mind.
The room grows more tense as each name is called....those are not happy faces, Girls!
And then, we have...
AMBER! Yes, she took on a Whitney song and did it well, and darned if she didn't do it again tonight - only not so well, screaming out the ending. And Girlfriend, puh-leeeze learn to walk in those high heels! You look like a horse clomping around the stage!
Back to the room.... DEFINITELY tense....
But wait! All is not lost, because next to be called is..
KREE!!!! This makes everyone happy, including me. I think what some people may not like about her is her personality...she's not real bubbly like Janelle. But her voice is awesome, and she really belted it out tonight. KU is diggin' it!!!
Alas, the Losers - Aubrey, Zoanette, Adriana, Breanna, and Tenna - are trotted out and quickly ushered off the stage.
But wait! If your favorite didn't get picked, there will be a special shot for one other person to join the tour this summer! Watch next week for details!
Your Top Ten, America:
Paul, Burnell, Curtis, Devin, and Lazaro; and Janelle, Candice, Angie, Amber, and Kree.
Nighty nite, Ladies!!!
-
{{{Blessings}}}♥
Thank You...
I actually rewatch the singing parts of certain contestants.......
Janelle is my #1 followed by KREE and Paul (he is very yummy)
I don't really want to adopt anyone this year........
-
-
Blessings, I see what you mean with your comparison, Burnell to Jackie Evancho. He had been reminding me of Urkel.
-
Elimar, I too think Burnell reminds me of Urkell LOL!!!
-
Wow I am on the West Coast too but go ahead and post, I know not to look beforehand.
I usually have some singer that I really really like. Not usually the winner, or ever now that I think of it, but someone. I liked Constantine Maroulis because I am a total Musical Theatre geek. I liked Adam Lambert for the same reason and thought his Ring of Fire was totally brilliant. I liked others for their genre. This season I can say Lazlo has a pleasant/handsome face and needs a dresser. I enjoyed Charlie but as a youth who needed guidance to move forward. His sound was actually very nice, he wasn't ready. I worked as a costumer at a performing arts high school and he reminded me so much of kids that I loved there.
This season is just so sad. I will continue to record qand fast forward, I figure we only have so much life and I don't want to regret using much of it on programming I dont really want to see. I was formerly a die hard fan of AI!

OMG... Curtis Finch singing Fantasia
of course I know that there will be some that like this but NOT ME! lol
-
I love the song but Curtis is another story
-
Here's our girl!! Let's go Janelle!!
hmmm... "Gone" by Montgomery Gentry? this should be really interesting... and she killed it!!!
-
Janelle looks so different tonight
She is a sweet heart.......Did she loose weight?
Song choice.......
-
Good evening ladies.
Sheila: I thought Janelle looked thinner also. Not so sure about her performance. It must have been the cotton mouth she had.
-
Randy and Nicki need to get a life... these singers do not need to sing slow poking songs/ballads the entire time. They need to perform upbeat songs. Janelle could have performed a Carrie or Kelly song and showed a little more range but she if truly a country singer so she stuck to her guns.
-
Devin seems so confident.
-
Devin is good.......
NM is on my last nerve tonight......
-
I agree with Keith and Randy about Devin that "Temporary Home" was not his best! definitely not as good as Janelle, but still better than Curtis
-
Devon was just allright, I forgot to turn to American Idol, so just caught the critique of Janelle - darn, really wanted to hear her!
-
What's wrong with the judges tonight.....
all they are doing is criticising them........
Wonder...I'm glad you notice that too....so I'm not seeing things.......
-
I feel like Angie is being shoved at us from every direction, yes, she is good but all the superlatives!!!! It makes me want to see Kree just slam it out of the park.
-
Last year they shoved Jessica........
-
Karen I agree with you about Angie being shoved down our throats... it makes me dislike her! Woo Hoo... next up Paul Jolley
-
Paul killed Brian's song....I don't mean this as a compliment........
i think I'm cranky tonight.......
