ahcc with tac chemo

Options

right, hello people. mrs is gonna start chemo on the 15th b4 they do the op. i hear a lot of people r taking ahcc. ive done a lot of research on this. now, i know its not a cure but a treatment. having said that some of the research is impressive. like this one. spolier, pics of dead lab rats...

ok with most chemo drugs taking ahcc is fine but with some it makes them weak. also tamoxifen and ahcc uses the same pathway possibly making tamoxifen less efficient. having said all that some people in here r using it. wanted opinions on this matter. our onc said: 'as long as u dont take 30gr of vit c everyday take what u want' mind u he also said 'diet doesnt change ur prognosis'. ty in advance.

    Hi, Nixie:

    Thanks for posting this. I just started neoadjuvent chemo on March 8th - AC every 3 weeks and later Taxol weekly. I've read wonderful things about AHCC and I'm ready to try it during chemo. My oncologist told me no supplements during but I want do it anyway. I read somewhere that AHCC might interfere with Adriamycin pathway. I'm thinking that maybe I could start taking AHCC 1 week after each infusion and stop 3 days before to minimize the interference. I also have some Avemar that's well studied and supposed to help.

    Would love to hear if someone has experience.

    dear myl;

    after doing a lot of research ive found out that ahcc does interact with tamoxifen and 1 of the drugs in tac regimen. the ahcc and the chemo drug as well as the tamoxifen use the same protein pathway possibly making them less efficient. ive got cpl of medical studies to back it up as well. so just ip6 and betaglucan 1,3 - 1,6 for the mrs during chemo. cant find any medical studies where ip6 (inositol) or bglucan interfering with chemo.
