Joan, have you thought about just one side being glass. Then you just walk into the open side. They look really nice and the water stays in the shower area.
-
Joan....call a company..that installs shower doors.my son .(the builder), who did my whole house had the same problem...he figured out a way to do it...called a shower door installer, and it was done. Looks great. They put stationary glass on part of the opening, and the door right next to it......the problem was it had to clear passing the toilet.....it is perfect....check with an installer.....

Deb - saw your doppelganger today. If it wouldn't be perceived as perhaps creepy, I would have taken a picture
-
Yes, Sheila, my little M.
-
Ducky, great idea about the doors, I knew there'd be a way. I found a great website - it's houzz.com - that has thousands of pics of renovations and you can save or email the ones you like. There was one shower with a door that opened "in" - never thought of that either. I still need your DS...
Seriously, you are very blessed to have your house redone the way you like it.
Meece, congrats! Were those shirts part of your son's conspiracy? I hope you find joy in this special time.
Chris, I didn't mean to make it sound like I live in a heavenly utopia...OMG like most everyone here, my life has been so darned much work. For me, it's full of chaos and stress, with some joyful moments thrown in...and it's those occasional days when I put aside my bad memories and just go with it...and sometimes it works!....let me just say, it was not easy to pick out an anniversary card and it always makes me cry. Relationsips are not easy...and I think it feels like more give than take. Just had to clear that up...
Gotta get some sleep....morning will come sooner due to time change (ha ha)
-
HAPPY MONDAY!!!
JOan what kind of books do your write. Happy Anniversary!!!
Shiela, what do you mean no heat.....WTH
Linda, still snow, omg
Chris I am so sorry.....how is Mom!!
Deb, glad to see you and thanks for the pix....
Meece congrats for you and DS!!! How creative!!!
Not sure if I told you but stray cat on my deck (6 of them) had babies, 5, 1 died....I took a pix have to post it, they ar so cute and oldest daughter said another one is preg. omg.....there are people that want them, George said no, lol
Had a wonderful dinner with her last night at Red Lobster, wish I could taste it would make it all good...or even smell it...oh welll.
Back to chemo on Wednesday....went through the paperwork yesterday, comparing CT scans and read the results of the 1 and only PET scan....better hear from dr. soon.....60's today...rain tomorrow, going to see GD tomorrow, not sure when she is getting out, she wants to come home....
-
DS was to have pictures taken with GF & family on Saturday. Mom and I Embroidered a shirt for each one. DS told photographer to tell GF he wanted some pictures just of her, and while her back was turned being photographed, DS put a shirt on each child and posed them.
Her shirt was ready because we were certain she'd say Yes. It worked.
-
Joan, watch the open in door..my son considered that, but you need a decent space inside the shower to do that....he found the way he did it to be the best, and the guy who did it agreed......and trust me the space he had to use, was not big...can you send a picture of the area.......
-
Meece how cool is that.....
-
Good morning all. Would love to see pics of the renovations.
Good luck Sandy. I hope the chemo is easy on you!
-
thanks and me too!!
-
you MADE those tshirts?! Wow - they are so pretty. What a clever idea. What was her reaction (besides to say yes) - did she cry? Congratulations!
Sorry Joan- I feel like I made you sad...
Kittens - so cute. I wish I didn't have allergies... Hope you hear from the Dr. soon!

I learned this from DR Oz
LOL= Little Old Lady
I made those up.....
TOL= Tall Old Lady
FOL= Fat Old Lady
-
I feel like a FOL today. Gotta lose some weight!
-
And so I am SOL, FOL, or SFOL? Or am I just shit outta luck?
-
I am a FOL right about now.
DH bought me a new car today. Total surprise. My car I've had since before we met has 202k miles on them.
Job assignment is over so totally unemployed yet again.
-
Yay Meece! How sweet of DH to surprise you. Bright side of unemployed for now is that you have time to drive your new car around
-
Yes, that's true. DH wanted a functional commuter so it isn't the fanciest but it should be very dependable. I knew he was thinking about it, but today he called and told me to go to the dealership and test drive it. Luckily the other dsealership 8 miles away had the color I wanted so they did a dealer trade.
-
This picture was taken as soon as she put her shirt on.
-
Meece, that is so awesome! Did someone video the proposal? I thought the shirts were painted...embroidered! Whew! Very special...
Sandy, the only "books" I write are the long rambling posts on here.
Ducky, if I can't find a good solution, maybe I can see ur pix. Contractor supposed to come tomorrow. I can see where the open in door is going to be a pain. I don't have a lot of room.
Chris, - not sad at all! Just a little heartfelt musing...hope you had a good day!
Gotta get up extra early...need sleep.
Sweet dreams...
Joan
