    There are many studies that show no difference in survival if positive nodes stay in vs. taking out. I did decide to take them out and will probably treat the rest holistically...I'm sorry this upsets some of you.

    I forgot to mention...magnesium drops sometimes aren't enough to raise levels. Oral magnesium is best companioned with transdermal magnesium...helped me so much.

    Suzie, I took a peek at the CAM studies you provided...not very detailed in what therapies they used...seems mostly based on vegetarianism? They speak of supplements , but not what kind? There is sooo much more to CAM than that study showed...plus many if the studies were outdated. Are you familiar with Kelley/Gonzalez or even low dose chemo or hyperthermia? Coleys?

    The magnesium I take is sublingual and absorbed straight into the blood stream, not via the digestive tract.

    I'm sorry to keep badgering you about your nodes and chemo etc, but the onc's recommendations are very unusual. The cancer obviously grew enough to spread, so you would never know if there were stray cancer cells somewhere in your system. That's why people have chemo, to hopefully mop up any.

    Hey again, Suzie! You're like my shadow! Lol......yeah, I was kind of surprised myself, in a good way. Their main point was there was no evidence of spread in my tissues surrounding my nodes...but, its never a definite, of course. They said everyone has circulating cancer cells, I probably have more..but, they said hormone therapy actually acts like chemo in killing these cells.

    They still said chemo might be like 3% beneficial but they just don't know for sure considering how ILC is different and slower growing.

    Joelle, it is not bashing. It is just people being extremely surprised that several oncs would recommend against chemo in your situation. It is highly unusual.

    I know the fees for Gonzalez and I also know two women who he waved his fees for.....they are doing very very well. They also speak of him very highly of how he buys supplements for other patients out of his own pocket.

    I will report back here in about 5 years or so to let you know how well I'm doing on Gonzalez....I'm sure it won't matter and you will all say it is luck or I'm lying...yet, if I was doing well on conventional therapy you all would be singing its praises from the mountaintops!!!!!!

    I hope ALL OF US remain NED for life. Now that would be a wonderful thing. The great equalizer is we all have cancer. The rest is semantics. We just want to LIVE out our normal life span. I wish all of you the best that life has to offer regardless of tx chosen. I am of the mindset that the longer a tx has been around, the more tried and true, the more likely I am to use it. This is one time I won't walk that tightrope and go out on the proverbial limb and try some tx that may or may not work.

    Have a wonderful rest of your weekend ladies. Me? Getting ready for my re-excision tomorrow since one of my margins for my lumpie ended up being <1mm. This is just one roller coaster ride, eh? Oh well, as I said, I hope you will be arguing about this years from now as well cause that will mean we are all living our lives. I also hope that Joelle's tx works for her.

    How is that for the United Nations version? Innocent

    April, best of luck with your re-excision tomorrow! I had to have one, too, for close margins. Recovery was much easier and quicker the second time around ... Hope it's smooth for you, too!
