AMERICAN IDOL...Season 12 & The Voice...Season 4

Brunell did a fine job, as did Paul and Lazaro; but come nowhere near the girl's performance. Where did everyone go?
-
I don't know......
-
Sheila, everyone else fell asleep?
-
I'm bored
Curtis is good and i love the song he is singing.......but no whole package thing......
HI KAREN.......
-
He's a great minister with a powerful presentation, but you're right Sheila not the whole package. I'm bored too, the only thing buoying me up is knowing Kree is going to sweep the girl's vote and Zometa, LOL, is going home.
-
Devin....♥ ♥ getting some votes from this judge
Zometa....hahahahahahaha
Did you see her in the audience she was up and down.......LOL
-
Ok ladies I know I wasn't here last night, but I watched today and I can't jump on the Kree bandwagon... something about her I just don't like. Can't quite put my finger on it. She just bugs me.
But she was better than some. I really liked Janelle and Aubrey, other than that Angie then Kree and then it would be anyones guess. The guys tonight have been really weird. Why are they all singing these krappy slow @** songs? Do they not know any uptempo songs? Charlie (sorry girls) I loved his song and the way he performed it!! I also liked Paul Jolly. Hmmm Devin just sang and he's ok but I just don't like the song choice and I really don't like Curtis at all. He could make a gospel album, but truthfully who would buy it? The kids these days are more into gospel like what 3rd day and Colton Dixon are doing which is contemporary christian rock. So there you go. I really liked the song that Nick Boddington did, I think he is very good and flexible. He could be molded into quite a good artist like a Michael Buble' or Billy Joel.
-
Devon makes it through with my votes also, who can miss her in the audience, she is one powerful force of nature, not sure what species besides the bone drug. It's you and me Sheila tonight, that's OK.
-
Vincent....
I can't wait until tomorrow night.......
-
I agree I wasn't impressed with Vincent either.
-
Nick, Charlie, Paul, Lazaro, Devin those are my top 5 not necessarily in that order
-
No jumping tonight
This should be a GIRLS year.........
-
That was a long hour, top 5: Devin, Brunell, Curtis, Lazaro and Paul. Night ladies, see you tomorrow.
-
Good night Karen...♥
-
It was a boring night. Some showed they could, indeed, sing, but I'd never buy a CD or download any of them from what I saw tonight. What was up with all the slow and mid-tempo ballads? When the one guy sang the Bruno Mars song (not as good as Bruno...) at least it had some pep, but the judges rubbed his face in it. And then two young dudes sang oldies that were way too OLD for them ("I Feel Good" and "It's Impossible.") I'm glad there will only be five to bore me next week. Maybe I will feel differently next week with different songs. Strangely when the judges liked a song choice tonight, I hated it. When they hated it, I didn't. I kind of like Vincent and Curtis, but are they Idols? Doubt it. Curtis should cut a gospel album.
At least I liked a couple of the girls.
-
Elimar the same for me... the judges love it, I hate. I love it the judges picked it apart
that just goes to show that the judges really don't know what the general public wants this year... at least I choose to believe that from what I have read on other sites throughout the internet.

3.6.13 - DA BOYZ!
ELIJAH – not so “boy-band” ish tonight…but weak and pitchy and bad falsetto. OMG – is that keyboard player YAWNING? No, wait, he’s a mouth breather.
KU: That suited your voice. You were in control. (WHAAAAAT?)
NM: I can imagine your face on blankets.
RJ: You never left first gear…it was flat
MC: One of your better performances. (Again, WHAAAAAT?) Relevancy is your strongest point.
CORTEZ – Having fun, doing the Mashed Potatoes, but dang, his voice was pitchy and strained.
KU: Not the best song for you. You were straining.
NM: I want you to look sexier. Lose the long johns. You were straining.
RJ: Straining!
MC: Straining!
CHARLIE – Oh, dear, he grew a moustache…all six hairs….Now tonight it’s shaved off and he looks like a teenage girl in a Stephen Tyler feather earring, and a ponytail. He does have a good voice and can carry a tune, but finished by screaming the last part of the song. And his hands shook the whole time, again.
KU: Wish I knew what people at home were thinking… you just don’t feel genuine to me.
NM: Someone stole my kid! I don’t want to see your arms or your pony tail!
RJ: I’m worried for you. The front was terrible and you screamed at the end. Very disconnected.
MC: You add diversity.
Uh oh, awkward. Charlie is crying. Ryan asks what’s wrong. Charlie says he just needed to vent tonight. “A lot of people think I’m a happy boy but the only reason I smile a lot is because I think I have to.”
(I think what people may perceive as “disconnected” is Charlie’s self-admitted lack of social skills (for whatever reason that may be), and his reliance on imitating bands to show stage presence.)
NICK – Wow, did you see the pics of him with long curly hair? Cuuuuute!!! Soft beginning at piano, great arrangement of song, good falsetto… pure voice.
KU: Perfect song choice! Beautiful!
NM: You stayed true to you.
RJ: Not your best performance, but good and solid.
MC: You didn’t really kick in til the end.
BURNELL (“I feel like I did an amazing job last week!”) – Aside from his strange body stance and hand movements, he really does have a good voice. Big finish!
Standing O from KU: Loved it!
NM: Love you!
RJ: Grabbed our attention from the first note – love you!!!
MC: Gave me a tearful moment – love you!
PAUL – Apparently has worked with Lady Antebellum, Blake Shelton, and Rascal Flatts???? Starts off well, with big finish. Trying to hold back on the theatrics, based on last week’s comments. However, I could totally see him on GLEE, or in musical theater, or Broadway.
KU: What kind of artist do you want to be? (“Country Pop”) You underestimate your voice.
NM: Solid performance
RJ: Try to find your sweet spot
MC: I didn’t know you wanted to be a country singer; I defer to Keith – he’s the expert in that genre.
LAZARO –Oh, sweet, humble Lazaro, in his Saturday Night Fever outfit….loved his intro: this is for all the kids who are being bullied in school – just be yourselves. Did Michael Buble’s “Feelin Good”. Smooth. Crowd goes wild.
KU: Instant connection with us!
NM: Love you!
RJ: In it to win it! You can see his heart light up!
MC: I love you and what you represent, but there were parts of the song that were too low for you.
CURTIS – (“Last week was EPIC!”) Sang “I Believe I Can Fly”, giving it full-on gospel treatment. Amazing falsetto. Confident performer. Gives the glory to God. Standing O from all the judges!!! Curtis is in tears.
KU: We just had a sermon in Vegas!
NM: You make people feel good, you make them feel blessed. You have a calling in your life to bless people. People are hurting! We need this!
RJ: Let’s praise God to start us off.(Curtis thanks God.)
MC: I needed that in my life right now… so much bad energy all around us... thank you, God, for Curtis!
DEVIN – Thanked his mom, couldn’t imagine doing this without her by his side, they’ve been through so much together. Soft start, pleasing voice, another ballad. Switched to Spanish and back to English.
KU: You started out shaky but found your zone. You’re a good, good singer, you’re gifted.
NM: Muy bien, perfecto, ran out of Spanish words. Really believable, like a little Spanish Ken doll.
RJ: Love your tone, effortless. I love this guy!
MC: Incredible – you will reach an international audience.
VINCENT – (“Last week was my best ever!!!) (“Panties are good once in a while!”) Sings “End of the Road” by Boyz II Men, containing the lyrics “this time instead just come to my bed”…. guess he quit his job as Worship Leader! Missed the first few notes, bad falsetto, pitchy.
KU: Nerves got in your way.
NM: You wasn’t sittin’ on it tonight!
RJ: Not your best performance
MC: There were moments of brilliance…
SO – after tonight, my top five are:
Curtis
Devin
Burnell
Nick
and
Paul/Lazaro
-
I don't have anything new to say. I recorded and ff through stopping for songs and moments of judge babble if the song was good. Took me only about 20 minutes.
Sad
-
Blessings.....This one wins the top award........I enjoyed it and laughed at the same time.......
Thank You my friend for making the show interesting............♥
Hi Ginger......
-
-
And we are live... wondering how this thing will turn out. Will I keep watching and vote? will I tune out and not care?
It's been a very strange season already, One that I don't like!
-
Oh can I post who makes it in or should I not? since the west coast hasn't seen it yet?
-
It's weird how the top ten will be chosen...Backstage???????????
PAUL....♥
-
Renee.....Yes...because Blessings is the only one and she knows we discuss live.......
I wouldn't do it on the FB.......
-
I hate the way they are doing it......
No excitement.......
-
Thanks Sheila.... I like Burnell too he is very good! My hubby likes him as well from the guys. I agree about not liking the way they are doing the back stage top 10
-
He wasn't on my list.......he can sing...but doesn't do anything for me......
-
I agree too - this is so fake, doing it backstage and taking the walk to the stage area, wasted time and dilution of the drama of the contestants being all on stage. Wierd. Agree with the selections so far though.
-
I agree I'm not a big Burnell fan bug hubby likes him... OMG can't believe that Curtis is going through (I can't stand him!) sorry if you like him, but as I said I don't.
I won't say anything else, except that's 2 that weren't on my top 5 guys list.
-
HI Karen.....
they took away all the excitement...OK sorry i got cranky........
