Going on 8 years cancer free now

Hi Everyone,

I am entering my 8th year cancer free from TNBC. It seems so long ago and I rarely come back to these boards. I just wanted you all to know that there is long term survival. It is what I so dearly wanted to hear when I was diagnosed back in 2005.

Now I am remarried, looking for a new job (current one is not in my field). My daughter is in grad school and my son just started college. There is life after all this.

Although it has been 5 1/2 years since I have been diagnosed with TNBC, I strongly feel that I will eventually die from this disease I can't see myself being alive 15 20 years from now and I am only 31 years old.

if you are 5 and half out, you would most likely grow old, right? it is so depressing to not have the feeling of being alive 20 yrs from now. What makes you feel so?
