Tasia - so, so sorry you got this news. You have every right to be scared, especially now, at the beginning when everything is so new and full of unknowns. I PROMISE you will begin to feel better once you know more and have a treatment plan in place. You will receive lots of help and support from the ladies here. Keep posting - we are here for you!

Thank you so much for replying going to oncologist next week Friday to take about treatment plan .

I also was diagnosed with HER 2 triple negative . stage 1 - no nodes- clear margins 1.2cm tumor removed and am wondering if anyone out there chose to do TC rather than AC + Taxol. Mixed opinions from the oncologists and ive seen three of them...any thoughts out there? Also planning to do Cold Cap Therapy to try to save my hair.... and I hear that it keeps you so busy during chemo days you can't think about much else. Support team is making all the difference and I'm learning how to ask for help, partners to walk with, people to hang out with me....good luck TasiaB I start chemo on the 12th but would love to hear what you onc. had to say. Thanks for this blog Indi

Ladies, welcome. Please check out the "Calling all TNS" thread. A wonderful group of triple negative ladies that can answer all your questions as well as give you emotional support.
Indi- I had 4 rounds of TC. My MO thought Adriamycin was not necessary. I had a single mastectomy (I had 2 tumors as well as extensive DCIS). 0/1 nodes.

Tasia and Indi-I am sorry that you are having to go through this, but wanted to say welcome. You will find lots of support here. Gill is right once treatment is lined up it gets less scary. Keep us posted and if you have questions just ask, someone will come along to answer. Hugs to you both.

welcome...here for you.The beginning is so overwhelming with emotions, information and decisions. It took me a good 3 months to accept what was going on. It does get better once you are actively in treatment - it's nice to meet milestones and countdown to the next one.
I had a UMX, chemo (TAC - treatment every 21 days for 18 weeks, I'm 3/4 of the way done) and will have radiation in May. I am BRCA1+ so will be having additional surgeries this summer. I have two small kids and I continue to work, I do take a week off for chemo. Treatments have been ok, better than I thought they would go.
