For last 3 months I get really breathless when exercising such that I cannot breathe and also get the fatigue etc - looked up lung cancer symptoms for women and I scored all 4 - worried I have ILC spread there but also I had chest infection post rads for several weeks so it could be that - can anyone offer any advice?

How common is spread to lungs for us ILCérs...?

Not sure about ILC spreading to lungs, it can technically but I think the bones stomach/gut and peritoneal and retro peritoneal cavities are the main areas. How is your hemoglobin as if low hemoglobin can cause breathlessness and fatigue. Do you have any existing heart conditions ?

Hi Roadrunner I think it is fine - and don´t have a diagnosed heart condition but I do have slight prolapse of mitral valve but had that for over 10 years with no symptoms

How do we find it or what do we look for in stomach / peritoneal and retro peritoneal areas?  I had serious infection there a few years ago.........

Rads can cause lung damage. I had the same symptoms in the summer, and it made all the docs jump. CT showed no rads damage and no cancer. Heart ultrasound was fine, blood counts were fine. So they told me it was all in my head.

Then I read somewhere that magnesium could help the bones (I have osteopenia), got some, took some, and after a few weeks the lung symptoms stopped. They have not returned. I checked the symptoms of magnesium deficiency and one of them is asthma-like symptoms.

THanks I am taking magnesium every day - the side of lungs most affected is the non rads side, unless they missed a bit! I will look it up in ref to breathing as was taking magnesium for emotions.....!

I would get the valve checked out to make sure. I have a valve issue also, its fine and no symtoms now but cardiologist said it will as I age.  Do you have any coughing ? It could be exercise induced broncho spasm ? Are you exercising in extremes of temp ?

bottomline is you should probably go to doc and have them check it out. Try not to worry
