Mapping session tomorrow..What should I expect?

Hi all.I will have my mapping session tomorrow.They told me it would involve a modified CT scan of my Breast?Also they will make a form of my Breast.Anyone care to chime in and give my some advice on what exactly to expect?I guess it's the fear of the unknown.BTW I am claustrophobic.

    It wasnt a big deal to me. I would suggest if you are claustrophobic that you take an anxiety pill first but if you dont it shouldnt be too bad for you. Most of the CT machines now are really fast so you wont be in the machine long. My experience was they put a squishy blue thing up under my upper body and molded to me with my arm up over my head and did a scan on me then left me on the table for about 20 minutes and I couldnt move while they did something on the computer.Afterwards I think they did another scan. The worst part was  probably just lying in the same position with my arm up for a while.  Hope it goes well for you. Hugs

    Thanks for the reply melmcbee .I hope I have a good experience also.Trying not to freak myself out too much though.I work until 2:45pm and then leave for my appt.Maybe it will keep my mind off of it being at work.I work at an OBGYN practice in the bone density dept.
