AMERICAN IDOL...Season 12 & The Voice...Season 4

What a boring performance by the Turban man (Sorry can't remember his name)
-
For the first 3...........
-
The Pastor, don't know names yet, has a powerful voice, he'll be staying on. The first two were not memoreable at all. Zonetta (SP) is even loud in the audience, she is just too too for me.
-
Schedule...Next week will have 3 nights of AI
Tuesday, March 5 @ 8PM-10PM ET Live Semifinalists – Top 10 males perform Wednesday, March 6 @ 8PM-10PM ET Live Semifinalists – 10 females perform Thursday, March 7 @ 8PM-10PM ET Live Top 10 Revealed Wednesday, March 13 @ 8PM-10PM ET Live Top 10 Finalists perform Thursday, March 14 @ 8PM-9PM ET Live Results show, One finalist eliminated -
Hi Karen....
-
Nick, nice voice, nice phrasing, I'd like to see him go on. Why is Nikki always sitting sideways in her seat facing Keith and giving her back to Mariah?
-
SCHEDULE FOR NEXT WEEK 3 Nights
March 5 Tuesday 8-10 PM..............Top Ten Male perform
March 6 Wednesday 8-10 PM........Top Ten Female perform
March 7 Thursday 8-10 PM.............Top Ten Revealed
-
Sheila, is it a popular vote elimination or will the judges determine who the Top Ten are? I think Keith Urban gives the truest evaluation of each performer's song, I'd like to see Josh stay on, if only for his song writing talent and I was wishing when he left the piano for him to "bust out".
-
-
Thanks Sheila, seems like they are keeping their power for a longer time this season. NM may look more normal but she is acting bizarre. David and Bryan were good, like Bryan's tone.
-
NM will always be bizarre...butat least she is dressing normal.....
Now her voice is getting on my nerve
-
She certainly has no problem with low self-esteem and her voice is NOT an acquired taste. Was not impressed with Burnell - obviously judges heard something I didn't.
-
DID YOU KNOW?
Onika Tanya Maraj (born December 8), known by her stage name Nicki Minaj is a Trinidadian-born American rapper, singer-songwriter and television personality. She was born in Saint James, Trinidad and Tobago. When she was five years old, she moved to the New York City borough of Queens
-
I think Spanish but with her you never can tell, I'm liking Mariah this week, she's being very intuitive. Lazarro did a fine job on Keith's song, I think he will go through, one more left - I don't know if there is a top 5 in this group, what do they do then?
-
CORTEZ was good...nice young man.....♥
Karen...Next week I'm not gonna check American Idol Spoilers
I want to know top ten alive not ahead of time.......
Yes MC is very classy tonight.......
-
I enjoyed Cortez also, seems like a fine gentleman with a beautiful voice, I think NM's comments embarrassed him. She is just crass!
-
We're both alike Karen....
-
CORTEZ...well deserved.....so refreshing......
-
They have made good choices so far, one at least is going to be a surprise, someone who has shown potential, I expect Burnell will get through, he did nothing for me though.
-
Karen...i enjoy watching AI with you....Thanks for your friendship
I'm little confused about the remark Ryan made that we will be voting next week.......?????????
HUGS and Good Night
♥
-
Same here Sheila, you and I do think alike so often. I am confused also, it would be nice if we get to vote next week - what is the spoiler, I gather it is the Top Ten list in this case? Good night to you, see you next week.
-
Just saw your post Sheila on NM"s origins, she's a television personality like the Kardasians!!! The CD by Alicia Keyes, FIRE, that I bought has a section that Niki raps - adds zero to the song.
-
Hoping this improves. Keith Urban is a good judge.
-
Whoa!!! Every time the camera panned the audience, there was Zoanette jumping up and down like a big ol’ Ronald McDonald. She RUSHED to the edge of the stage when Cortez sang. I’m starting (?) to think she has some issues.
~~~~~~~~~~
AI Terminology: “No matter what happens tonight…” Translation: “Go pack your suitcase now. It’s over for you.”
~~~~~~~~~~
All the voices that Nicki Minaj uses are part of her stage performance. She has developed numerous accents just for those, and her videos. She incorporates them into her songs, so it’s not just an affectation for AI.
Now, having said that, tonight I think she was smokin’ crack. Or maybe listening to her iPod instead of the contestants she raved about, who weren’t actually that good.
~~~~~~~~~~
GOING HOME
DAVID WILLIS - Another worship leader. Oh, why was he dressed like a 70’s lounge singer? And why did he sing “Fever” playing his acoustic guitar? There was something kind of “Up With People” about it... The judges always talk about each singer needing at least one big moment in their performance…well, David had it. Unfortunately, his “moment” was about 3 seconds long at the end.
BRYANT TADEO– from Hawaii. Nice voice on “New York State of Mind”…but no hurrahs from the judges. Said he had “raw talent”…. In other words, not enough for AI. NM: Hated it!!!
MATHANEE TRECO – Professional entertainer in the Bahamas. Dressed and moved like a ‘90’s rapper tonight. Couldn’t keep up with the beat of the song, but has a good voice. KU: No connection. NM: Cheesy karaoke – but love you! RJ: Wrong song choice. MC: Disconnected
JOSH HOLIDAY – “Farm Boy” and vocal coach living in Nashville. Had the great distinction of splitting his pants onstage in Hollywood. Played an original song at the piano, then got up and finished standing in front of the judges. They all told him he should have stayed at the piano. Gee….didn’t they tell one of the girls just the opposite?
GURPREET SINGH SARIN (aka The Turbanator) – Totally underwhelming. I think he was trying to show versatility to the judges, but ended up being totally boring. None of the judges liked it. NM: HELL NO!!
MOVING AHEAD
VINCENT POWELL – So he’s a worship leader and voice coach, has sung studio back-up for numerous stars, and has lived in his car. Randy was worshiping him the whole song, or maybe he was just admiring the fact that they had on the same glasses. Good voice, good stage presence, but some of the jumping up and down was distracting for me. The judges LOVED him. NM said she could see 50 year olds throwing their panties at him.
LAZARO ARBOS – I just love this guy. Not the best singer in the group, but probably the one who has the most to prove. It broke my heart when in his video, he said he worked in an ice cream shop because it was the only job he could get. He said he could never get a job like the ones that smart people have. Sang a Keith Urban song, which unfortunately, KU said was the wrong choice for him. Got nice comments from the judges, though.
CORTEZ SHAW – Strong, pure voice. Pitchy in places, but a big finish at the end. Judges complemented his range, and said they could overlook the imperfections in his singing tonight. (WHAT?
)
BURNELL TAYLOR – Has gained confidence and lost 40 pounds since his AI audition…..so why did he dress like Steve Urkel tonight? Decent voice, strange hand movements, but a good performance overall. But a standing O from NM? Seriously?
NICK BODDINGTON – OMG……Nick Boddington and Ellen Degeneres…separated at birth? Nice pure voice; judges underwhelmed with tonight’s performance. But apparently they thought he was less awful than the ones they sent home…
-
Liked Vincent (but only in a keep my panties on kind of way.)
-
LOL, elimar!!!
-
Blessing...Another good review.....
Hi elimar......
NM is obsessed with sexual remarks.......
-
Those who will be watching The Voice.......
Is it OK to add THE VOICE here like we did last year?
-
Most Definitely!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait for some classy vocal judges.
-
Yes Karen...Me too......
