Oh, Skittle how tragic.  I'm so sorry to hear about your former student.  Sometimes it is really hard to be 15.  You are not a kid any more, but your not an adult yet either and all of the adolescent changes going on.  So sad to loose a teen. My deepest sympathy goes out to you.

Jazzy, hope you are able to rest peacefully and sleep well.  Sorry you are in more pain this time. Maybe tomorrow it will be much better. Best wishes to you next week as you have the rad tx.

Jinkala, hopefully your toe tingeling stays just that and does not develop into anything else.  I was one of the unlucky ones...I got chemo induced neuropathy known as glove/sock symdrom.  I have it in my hands and feet.  It comes and goes.  I am over a year and half out from last chemo and I just recovered from a terrible episode. I am not diabetic mine is strictly chemo induced...damn cancer!

    Hi and hugs to all.

Skittle you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Teka thanks for the reminder about the Academy Awards being on Sunday.  I have managed to miss all the other award shows so far this year...just forgot to tune in when they were on. (I won't even blame it on chemo-brain Wink).

The Daytona 500 is a BIG deal here since it is just a short drive across the state (less than 2 hours away).  Since Danica has the pole position, I am thinking that she probably won't take the checkered flag, but all eyes will be on her to see what she can do.  My soft spot is for Dale Jr.

    Good morning fellow hermits:

Nine good hours of sleep, no pain, just a little slo mo today. It is a sunny and warmer day here where I am getting my internal rad treatment, part 2. I have my hotel room door propped open to enjoy the fresh air and been reading on the patio this am. I am hanging out here for awhile then going to do a bit of lite shopping and to get my nails done. A little pampering time today.

Teka- I like the red carpet stuff too. Love to see all designer gowns.

    Bgirl- how is your cold?

Markat- everyone recovered from the sickness too at your home?

Skittle- thoughts and prayers with you today. I know this much be a tough weekend for you.

Cami, FL Warrior, Shambles, Jinkala, and all the other hermits, hope you are having a nice saturday so far. I am taking it one day at a time these days myself.

Jazzy I act like a critic LOL--I love them too, but if they are not fitted properly they don't look right--And u'd think that everyone would have them fitted prfectly but they're not. I also like to see their hair styles some are almost vintage and others are messy, which again I can't fiure out--But there are some that come so beautiful--their make-up , jewelry, everything and I think this is not fair that someone could look so good and then there's me. LOL

LOL my hermit friends!  We can have our own best dressed / worst dressed of the Academy Awards!  I'm just like you all I like to watch it for the dresses.

Teka, did you see the wreck on the last lap?  I was not home, but I saw replay on the news. How awful 28 people in the stands injured. The guy driving the car that went into the fence was really lucky, not being hurt! Amazing. His car disintegrated!  Where did Danica finish up? I saw that Tony Stewart snuck through the wreck and took the checkered flag.

Jazzy, hooray! for good sleep and no pain!!!

    Skittle, thinking of you.

    Good evening fellow hermits:

I had my first "girly girl" day, as I will call it, in I don't know how long. Since before all this began and with some other health problems last fall that happened at the same time. Went shopping here today for some new spring things and got my nails done too. A divine young man by the name of Kevin massaged my feet and put some pretty mauve polish on my toes. Got my hands done too, little clear polish there. It felt good to do some things to take care of my appearance, which I have not felt much like doing in awhile. I do the mimum required to get by most days.

I think we will all have a fun time talking about the red carpet choices tomorrow night.

I saw that terrible crash today at Daytona on the tv in the nail salon today. I think a lot of people got hurt?

Hoping everyone is having a relaxing evening. Wishing those in a difficult place this weekend better days.

Hi fellow hermits: I am watching the awards now and have not seen everything yet, but liked Jennifer Annistons sizzling hot red strapless. Then again, I love anything red.

I like that a lot of the unexpected films and people are winning tonight. Yeah for the underdog!

Blondiex46- welcome to the hermits group. Sorry to hear you are depressed (we all have our times there too). This is a nice group of women going through all the ups and down of this stuff together. Hope your time here helps.

Blondie u could very well be depressed--We usually think of depression in one way but it could be a foller and u actually aren't extremely aware of it--but think about u'r thoughts and what u do everyday--The good thing is there are meds for it so I'm sure u'r Dr. will put u on somethingSome of them work quiker than others and he'll no doubt start u on a lower dose, so don't give up on it some meds work great on certain people and some don't so u might even have to change meds before u blaance out. But it is treatable so just go for the treatment.

I have not decided on my best dressed choice yet......but worst is the grey dress with all the feathers, yuk!

Clooney...ooooh la la!!! I think every lady drools over him!!!

It was really good to see that Robin is recovering so well!  She seemed full of energy and looked very good after all she has been through. She was brave to rock that 1/4 inch hair...I couldn't do that...kudos to her.

blondiex welcome to great group of ladies that you will find to be very supportive.  I think we have all experienced depression to one degree or another.  It can be caused by the dx, the tx, meds, lack of sleep or a host of other things.  Some use antidepressants, some just muddle through it (as in my case...) eventually it gets better, but it can take a while.  I wish you better days ahead.

It was nice to see that cute little Anne Hayhaway's hair growing in so nicely :p And Charlize Theron (she shaved her head for a movie too). Beetches. :)

George Clooney and Ben Affleck looked good. That Kristen Stewart from Twilight looked terrible. I loved jennifer Anniston and Jennifer Lawerence's dresses.

I'm off tomorrow but the girls are in school- woohoo :)

Good morning hermits: radiation begins today so I may be off line a bit more again. Will pop in and let you know how things are going within the next few days. I will be going 2X a day M-F and then going home friday evening. Then I am DONE with my rad treatment. Yay!

I thought the Oscars were better that usual this time- loved all the music from Catherine Zeta-Jones, to Jennifer Hudson, to Barbara Streisand.

    My favorite dresses were:

    Sandra Bullock- lovely sequin number

Robin Roberts - god bless her and what a lovely royal blue dress

Jane Fonda -loved that bright gold number she was wearing, I want to be Jane when I grow up!

Jennifer Anniston- loved that red Valentino she was wearing

Wishing everyone a good week with all everyone has to do. Blessings to everyone.

Thanks Camille! It's nice not having to rush around this morning. Hope you're feeling good today!

Jazzy, sending you good thoughts today. I really liked the whole show. I thought it was pretty entertaining. Seth McFarlen was pretty funny, even if some of the jokes were uncomfortable, lol. The Jaws music was funny but I felt bad for the people at the same time.

Someone posted something on fb about how Robin Roberts looked so buff and was she working out while getting treatment. I thought she looked beautiful.
