Tired of lesions popping up.Worried Again.
I had to come here and get off the rest of the Internet because I am once again making myself crazy with worry. Recently went in to an urgent care because I had been having some pain in my knee. I have RA and teach Zumba classes, so I am used to aches and pains, but this knee pain was new. They think meniscus injury, but because of my bc history do x ray. I just hate how everything turns into tons of tests. Anyway, she calls me back and says she doesn't want to worry me but there is a spot on my x ray, on the femur, and they want me to take copy and follow up with my onc. She showed me the x ray, and now I can't get that spot out of my mind. Called my onc and I now have bone scan scheduled for Monday. She said nothing on knee during previous scans and that has me worried. This happened when I had back pain too. Off for tests and they say lesion on spine, but too small to say mets, they watch and it is stable. I also have to have MRI in march for abdomen because something showed up on CT back in Nov. that they are watching. I have read over 40, most new bone lesions are mets. It is small, with sclerotic rim. I wish Monday was here already. I feel like the boy who cried wolf with my family and they all just say, you will be fine. I try to keep my worry in, but it is hard. Anyone else have lesion on their femur? I am 2 1/2 years out of treatment. Can something new show up so fast? I am just soooo tired of MRIs CTs and Scans! I feel fine, but things keep popping up and I just want to scream. Decided to check in here instead. Don't know if this warrants a post, but I needed to type out. Thanks!

can't give you anything but (HUGS) and prayers that all will be ok, I am currently waiting to have a CT of my liver as the enzymes keep climbing and the mets in my spine are growing...
Wishing you the best.

I'm sorry I don't have experience with this, but wanted to give my support and send you strength as you wait for scans and go through this. Keep us posted and I pray nothing is wrong.
Hugs,

Hi Gig ~ I don't have breast cancer, but my sister was diagnosed 9 years ago with ILC. We have recently discovered that her cancer has metastisized to her colon and she has two bone lesions; one on her hip and one on her spine. So, I've been doing lots of research. Long story short . . . I've read that mets can show up in only months or many years later.
I wish you all the best. Blessings!

Well, had the scan today and now I wait. I hope they call me tomorrow. I almost had an anxiety attack in there today. Was going fine, did full body and then started doing more on my midsection from all sides. The thing that has me worried is that they then told me to hold on they wanted me to do one standing up. I have had many bone scans and have never had to stand for one. They pulled the machine apart and had me stand with my back against it. Has anyone ever had to do that? Then she leaves for like 20 minutes and my mind is just racing. Comes in and says I can go. I know they have to be through but it stresses me out so much. Hoping for the best, just wondering why this one was different. Just breathe I guess.
