Hello,

Below is my initial biopsy report.

The biopsy report says infiltrating ductal carcinoma of breast, well differentiated tubular type by bloom.

Richardson method: score 3/9

tubular formation 1/3

nuclear atypia 1/3

mitotic activity 1/3

Microcalcifications: Present

I had a lumpectomy on January 10 and I took out 5 nodes out. The 5 nodes were negative and the margins were clear. The next step was radiation and then medicine. I had a mammogram February 11. It came back suspicious. I had a biopsy on February 19 and the radiation doctor called me today and said I will not be seeing you since you still have cancer your test came back positive. I have an appointment with the surgeon on Tuesday. I thought I was done and now it seems like everything started over. Has anyone experienced this? What does this mean? How can I be stage 1? The radiation doctor said I will need a masectomy now.

I thought i was cancer free. =(

Did they say that the cancer was in the same spot as the lumpectomy site or is this another lesion? Sometimes your previous mammo doesn't pick up a different area and you might have had a second cancer growing in your breast. Is this in the same breast? The same place as the original cancer? Not sure what is going on but I am so very sorry that you got this news. I hope the RO didn't just blurt it out to you like that!

Hugs and let us know what is happening.Frown So so sorry!
