Bonfire of the Goddesses

Joan - We will stay here. I like the park and all our doctors are here. I would hate to have to start over with a new MO, PS, PCP, etc. In my job, it can be a 24/7 job and I won't miss that at all. It will interesting to see what it is like living here as a resident instead of working as the manager. Looking forward to it.
-
I don't come here often but felt I needed to add to the fire. I am throwing my Dad in! For not supporting me through anything since my mother passed from BC- having 2 kids and cancer. To crying and sobbing to me for 7 years about how much he misses my mother and not caring that I miss her too. Now announcing he met a great woman and is getting married after I have asked him to wait one year. And he wants MY support after giving me ZERO support. Kiss my ass.
ahhh- rant over.
-
Laurie, toss in the frustrations - you can rant here, we all have our turns.
Jo, I am glad you are staying as a resident - I think you will have MUCH more fun. I cannot track my mom down most of the time as she has the busiest social life for the 6 months she is there. I am also considering retirement this year - have been unable to go back to work anyway because of all the BC-related crap.
Granny, I think you are probably IN hell, not so much as GOING to hell. Over the past few years (even before BC) I have started to delve into theology and the concepts of heaven and hell, and I truly believe both are right here on earth, right now. There is a little bit of each present each day, some days balanced, many not. So Granny, I wouldn't worry about GOING to hell, but just trying to avoid as much of it as possible NOW! Toss in the DIL and let's go have some fun!
Joan, I LOVE the smileys around the fire! Thanks!
I am actually doing pretty well overall right now - my bits of heaven and moments of grace - so am grateful today. Am grateful for all of you here. Sending you all love and hugs today. -
I tossed in that DIL quite a few times but she still keeeps popping up ever so often....I try not to use the word hate but lately if someone just brings up her name i scram I hate her...she is Lucifer!!!!Actually my DD gave her that name...and that kid she spit out(yeah she is my GD and is innocent but she is only 4 yrs old and reminds me of Rosemarys baby.....God forgive me...i am gonna go to hell....I do believe there is a special place in hell for certain ppl.WAIT...she is gonna be in hell with me.....betta take all this back right now.....
just burn bitch!!!
-
Granny, yes there's a special place in hell for certain people but you're not one of them!
Ducky, good to see you. You too Laurie, sorry about your dad being a dishonorable jerk.
Jo, I empathize about stupid boss. Happy retirement planning! I have ten years to go.
It's cleansing to come here and incinerate things and be companionable.
Keep it burning ladies! L&H&P's to all
-
Granny, that's why you have to live forever! So you don't have to be with anyone you don't want to see in hell :-P How was your appointment? Was it today?
Laurie, I am sorry to hear of the turmoil that your father brings to your life. There's not much you can do except focus on your family and your health. I just hate when life changes in ways that force me to move emotionally to a new place. I hope you find peace.
Jo, that's awesome that you get to stay in your home and eventually not work. god plan!
it's feeling pretty cold here....so the fire feels good.
niteJoan

Laurie---throw him in again----had a SIL who declared undying love for huaband that died suddenly. Three months later her sister said on Fb that she had never seen her happier with her new guy. Duh-----Oh did she pay for that---there were over a thousand people at BIL's funeral. Pissed allot of people off and made her open to the world the ass that she was and is.
-
Gee wiz! Those flames are HOT! Keep throwing stuff into the fire because my back is feeling sooooo much better now from all the heat!
I have a doozy of a SIL in the fire too! Come to think of it...most of the DH's family is on fire! Actually, he helped me bring some of them down to the fire in a wheel barrel! I think that's how I got the backache.....Yikes!
-
VR-I hate to go off subject but that reunion is April 26th in GCS.
I hope you are still comin.
Hope its warmer then.....and God doesnt strike me dead for all the nasty things i said here.
Strange enuf i mean every word.
I know at least 1 of my kids who would throw their father in the fire too....bastard.

-
Hi all,
Don't bother lookin' for me, Granny, - am already in for GCS.
It's one of those days where it just feels cold no matter where I sit or how many sweaters I put on.
Joan -
Have fun in NYC sisters, wish I could join you but will be there in spirit.
Joan, I get those chills too and wish I could summon a hot flash at will.
But those seem to come at the most inopportune times, not at my choosing.
Throwing in all 1000+ pages of the state's biennial budget bill, that should burn a while. What a bunch of gobbledygook. Why can't they write the darn thing in plain English?
-
Oh Joan---we all knew you were gonna be there. It cannot come soon enuf.way overdue.
I have the heat on with the windows open....and a jacket on and off all day.
I do have crazy circulation sooo im used to it.
Dont miss those hot flashes at all!!!!!!
-
I get warm flashes from Femara. I do NOT appreciate it. I'd rather wear 3 sweaters. Badger, the thicker the political BS, the less likely anyone will read it or protest.
Did WI get snow?
Granny, if we keep adding sistas (that's a good thing!) we will have to shut down GCS for the day and have a private party. By the way, there's a huge Apple Store in GCS so you can get cool stuff for your iPad -
Joan, yes we got snow Thurs pm into Fri am, about 6 inches where I live.
The snow wasn't so bad but the whiteouts from the 30-MPH winds were.
Glad I have a supervisor who lets me work at home from time to time.
But much as I like her, she's a 'team player' with the SOB in the corner office.
So I don't trust her but am not ready to throw her into the fire - yet.
-
Badger, every job has its downside, if there is more than one person involved!
When I started my job I worked with 5 young guys who didn't want me there...they played poker every Friday, one got married and I was the only one not invited...blah blah blah...so I made friends with the women in the office downstairs. Turns out the women are the worst offenders and I am now totally comfortable with the guys. I've learned to manage my reactions and not be offended. As for the women, I just no longer hang out with them. I smile and say good morning, but they have gotten the message. There was a dinner recently and the women offended my dear friend (like high school girls) and I was done. Best to have that good relationship with your supervisor...I've learned that work isn't usually where I make friends.
While I'm here, I'd like to throw the following women [who just don't value sisterhood] into the fire: JY, Ch, M, V, & Ca...
That felt good. -
Hey Joan---we keep missing each other.
As far as I know the reunion at GCS.is still the original sistas except for Lauren who dropped off BCO,
I invited anyone and everyone but no one is comin but us.
I told ducky she flat out said NO
I told Veggy ---well you know her story.
I told JOJO---she also said no.
No one wants us.boo hoo!!!!
-
hey Joan--we keep missing each other.
Im not waiting till the reunion for all my ipad stuff...i want it now!!!!
No one wants to come to meet us in GCS except the originals.
I went to one in NJ there were quite a few sistas in a lovely restaurant.
We are sooo close yet sooo far away.
-
Joan, you are so right, I try to manage upwards and keep a good relationship with my sup no matter what. But it's a business relationship. I don't usually make "friends" at work either. 'Course I live an hour away so wouldn't hang out with them outside of work, esp with my carpool.
Once the merger happens, I'll have a new sup anyway. No sense ticking off this one now.
Just secret smiles when I think of certain people frying in the fire.
-
Cheers to throwing in the hot flashes and cold spells...........my body just seems to do its own thing now and it's driving me nuts
-
If only we could harness the power of our hot flashes & chills, we could heat & cool the world.
Throwing in worry causing a sleepless night. That should feed the fire; we all have worries.
-
(((Granny)))
Reunion will be great!
Those who should be will -
I needed the bonfire today for a call from third party for an insurance issue. "Mrs. Eatmon, we want to be sure your surgery was not a result of an injury at work". I said really, you can get breast cancer from work? Burn lady, read the chart.
-
OMG Beatmon, that is nuts! As if you're going to claim workers compensation for BC.
New theme song for their company is that Aretha Franklin song - You Better Think
-
Beatmon - I got one for you. Before my insurance would pay for my reconstruction, I had to fill out several forms stating I wasn't in the hospital for an accident or something that could be considered "third party". Don't they read the claim forms??? I did fill them out and send them back. Sheesh!
-
any chance we can sue cancer for being responsible for all our miseries???
