LIFE'S A BEACH!

Lisa - you always see such amazing things on your walks. Wish I could go on a walk with you sometime.
-
The house was inspected Saturday - we'll meet with our agent tomorrow to see what's what. I'm really anxious to get on to the next phase of our life, and have been thinking that the sale of the house was a required component. I've come to realize that it really isn't, so that's taken some of the pressure off. I'll be retiring probably on Oct 1 - house sale or no. I'm getting excited...
-
Retirement rocks...good luck with the house..we just stayed put...

Lisa you have great walks! Today we got 10" of snow and it is blowing everywher lots of drifts 5 ft plus! I will dream of warm weather. I am having problems posting pics, anyone else use Flicr, not sure why I am having issues, am hoping to resolve so I can post pictures from Kauai, we fly out Tuesday, can't wait to get out of the cold.
-
I use Web Albums from Picasa
-
I don't use Flicr or Picasa...I just use FB! I upload my pics to there, then copy/paste them here no muss no fuss. I used to upload to Snapfish and do the same - simple right-click copy, then right-click paste into here. Good thing it was never more complicated or I'd never have been able to post at all! And to that end, here's one from a gathering of BCO women in 2009 in Florida ... love that place
This is Gulf of Mexico side of Florida
-
Hi Mary..are you getting alot of snow? It hailed here today

The beach today

Lisa - love pictures of the west coast. I love seeing a lot of the CA coast when DD#1 and her family lived in Monterey while her DH was stationed there while going to school for the Army. We thought about moving there but then we would be even farther away from DD#2 and her family. We will wait to see where DD#1 goes when they get out of the Army before we think about moving anywhere. Next move will be to a house with everything on one level plus a big sewing room for me!
Hope everyone is has a great week planned. AJ

Believe it or not that is my favorite spot for tidepools...when the tide goes out all that land between the first two points goes dry...great place..

Hugs, Cheryl
-
Hi Cheryl..good to see you
-
Well, being a rule breaker from way back, I'm going to break one now and post a non-beach picture! I was with our newest grandson last week and just think this is one of the cutest pics ever. This little guy, Cole, has a way of locking eyes with you and just staring without making a move for minutes at a time. It's heartwarming and unnerving at the same time! I was usually the one to break away, but would go instantly back and he was still staring! I asked dd to get a pic for me so I could look at it and easily remember a highlight of the week.
-
Oh Mary!!! I remember my little grands doing that with me....very surreal. It's like they're reading your mind or figuring out your face after hearing your voice muffled for months!! What a lot of wonderful hair, too! And a BIB!!! None of my three grands used bibs. I just didn't get it. I used to have horrid protein stains on the necklines of all the baby clothes for my kids. Is soap just that much better these days? Or do they just not use the dyes that they did 30 years ago???
-
lol Barbe...I kept telling my daughter that he was memorizing my face for those weeks when he won't see me since she lives a couple hours away. Both my dd's use many bibs daily, trying to save the clothes if they can! I seem to recall that I would use one bib for them each day...maybe two...but they change the bib as soon as it has anything on it. Good thing they have dozens.
-
Marlegal - what an angelic face. I used a ton of bibs on my girls when they were infants. Just to keep the neck of their clothes from rubbing on their little necks. If their little collars got anything on them they would chafe their skin. The bibs were so much softer and did not have a seam that was not completely concealed. They both had such sensitive skin. Both my girls use a lot of bibs too.
-
Love it, he is really studying your face for future reference..
-
I know a midwife who swears that babies are born knowing everything -- and then they forget. She says the little indent between the nose and upper lip is from the angels saying "Shhh, don't tell." He is one gorgeous baby. I'll bet you'll be making the trip more often than you think.
-
Marl that is one adoreable grandchild.I can barely wait for one of my own.
-
Wren, I really like that "midwife" tale!
-
Beach Siesta
-
They just look so comfortable!
-
Wren - That tale may be right! My DGD#3, now age 7, has always told us whenever she learns something new "I knew that I just forgot for a little while." Maybe that is really what happens.
Hugs to everyone and good night all. AJ
