Thinking Out Loud.....

yeah- the dishes would just end up on the counter. So close...
Hope you didn't get writer's cramp. It would have been worth it, though, I'm sure. Hope lunch was nice.
Girls can be gross too... maybe even worse (think feminine protection products...)
Hope everyone had a nice Valentine's Day.

Hi all, not too late to say Happy Valentines Day - almost over! I did have a good day as far as that was concerned...and after losing 4 lbs. this week, we ate out and i had wine, appetizer, salad and entree. More than I've eaten in an entire day all week. Seriously. Well, I will have to take a long hike this week end.
Nobody mentioned snow...Yup, Sheila, I got more of it. This AM, it was like a winter wonderland...all the fresh snow covered all the dirty snow. It hung on the trees and the sun lit up the snow-covered branches as it rose this AM. I was so happy driving to work because it was so beautiful. I wished I was retired and could go out with my good camera and capture it all. I took cell phone pix. Roads were clear.
On the way home I was in a parking lot and hit a snow pile...put my car in 4WD to get through and couldnt go. then I couldn't get the car out of low 4WD and called DH to help....then I kind of fixed it and drove home...turned into the narrow spot shoveled out next to driveway and slammed into the snow/ice pile (from the plow)...when Dh got home he told me I had a huge dent in the door. I am so mad at myself. Car is old...220,000 miles...and still great...I wanted to wait awhile and shop around for a good car. So, I want it fixed by Monday...
Chris, your shirt story was so funny....all so true! Men get commendation medals for doing stuff that we do for years.
Ducky, DD at 6 AM - I like the idea of txting back sleeping. Great one. Next time, don't answer until you feel like it.
My DS#1 just moved to Chicago...I called him today...no answer, no call back. I saw him Feb. 2 for his BD in New York. But I really miss him. I think you will be OK on the plane. There's not much sensation of height when flying. Sit away from the window or close the shade. It will be the best way to travel half way across the country in 2 hours. Try putting your clothes in soft plastic bags (like from dry cleaner). It's so nice that your GS is excited you are coming.
Meece, can't believe you are still voice-less. Makes phone calls tough!
Hugs to all and a good night's rest.
Thanks for being here every day - much love & hugs to all!

Actually my boys are really good about food in the room.....the only thing they do it maybe bring the trashcans in from out front, sometimes let the dogs out, vacuum downstairs and now making their food if I don't cook...when i was in the hospital they did the dishes, took care of the house, me here nothing.....

Great day today. Hit 57 degrees. Spent most of the day with youngest daughter. First we went to get her picture taken for her driver's license...then to BJ's to shop, then to Target, back to her house for lunch, and then to Acme to pick up the shrimp they had on sale. We do a lot of Scampi for dinner during lent......it was funny. We started out for just Shrimp, and filled the cart. They had some good sales...I bought many veggies to maake homemade vegetable soup....you name it, it's in there. Had to get a pot herb, and they are hard to find.
I also picked up grapes, fresh cut pineapple, and apples for my granddaughter who is pregnant. First baby, and her significant other just lost his job......I also got her a $50.00 gift card for a great pasta store in her town. Everything homemade by a real Italian family.....easy for her. So I came home feeling pretty good, and she was so grateful. I know they are struggling. My son is always doing for her too........
So all in all a good day.......quality time with my Nikki, and helped my granddaughter.
Grandson's birthday today.the one in JWU...and another one on Sunday. He,s younger. So many Pound cakes to make........
My friggin legs and back ar killing me from all the running....wet snow tonight. And again Sunday.
Hope your all ok......hugs -
Sounds like a perfect day!
-
It was a very good day.....they however are done, since Nikki is going to work full time on the 25th of Feb.....will be traveling solo after that. I will so miss my days with her. Oh we'll shit happens......
-
Does BBB know about little Sammy and Samantha?
Sorry about your car Joan.
Chris - what is latest on the job?
-
I didn't tell him yet......he wouldn't know the difference...
We name her Betty or Benjamin........
OMG...I'm loosing it...or is it lost already?
-
HAHAHA!! You lost it!!!
-
-
hahahahaaa!!!!!!!!!

Ducky, I'm stuck on the 'pot herb'... sounds like you will be cooking a long time. Does your daughter have week ends off? Will you be able to hang out together on her days off? Change is so hard...
Snow tonight & the meteorologist at my job says the storm is splitting into two...and the 2nd round could leave 6" or more on the Cape.
I said i'd never drive my car until it's fixed, but I did and I survived.
A big space rock (150') passed closely to earth today, even lower than some of our satellites. It sailed right by as expected. However, an undetected meteorite hit earth today in a populated area of Russia causing damage and injuries. So, do what you want to do - don't put it off!THREE DAY WEEKEND!
-
Joan...Your area is showing much more snow than mine.........
OK...i will get a box of chocolate before the next one hits
It was scary...i saw it in TV...looked like the end of the world........
Definitely i'm getting some chocolate
Hugs

I was excited this morning. I awoke with a throaty Bacall voice, almost intact. Well two short phone calls to let family know I was getting better, and the whole thing went away again. I spent the afternoon cooking to have DS & DIL for dinner, and I am exhausted and feel worse than I have in a few of days.
-
You guys make me laugh....
Ducky which Target did you go to and what time, I went and we could have been in the store together, not even knowing it cause we don't know what we look like...it was beautiful today....
Joan the friggin snow is getting on my nerves, can't imagine what you guys are going through.....

-
the friday after chemo on wednesday (2) days is usally the day I used to get sick, now I just start out feeling ok and gradually fade, get tired and like my body is saying make me relax and just chill...it is strange....how ru Meece?
-
Sandy, not sure about the time, but it was morning...guessing around ......ok, hold on, I got it. she had to be home in time for a conference call for work by 11:15, so probably about 10:45.....actually we passed Macy's on our way to TJ's on Thursday, and I was telling her about you, and what a tough cookie you are.........told her you worked there, and how you do all your treatments, go to work, and take care of a family (which should be taking care of you), with all you have been through, and are still going through.
Kudos to you Sandy....I admire you.....hugs
