My Child My Baby

I wasn't sure where to post this. I am up at 5 am and going through the motions. Crying alot. Just dx and I'm just trying to cope. Here is a poem I wrote.

My child, My Baby, My Darling

Oh sweetheart… I never meant for this to happen

Your sweet face it brings tears to my eyes now

I have felt so many emotions

I have cried so hard

I wish I could wake up from this nightmare

I wish I could feel strong all the time

And you  would never see me shed any tears

I promise you that no matter what I won’t stop loving you

I promise to hold you and laugh every chance I get.

I promise to take time every day just to gaze into your eyes

And pull from deep inside myself the courage and determination

It takes to get through this just for you.

You are the light in my life

You give me reason to take on anything

My child, my baby, oh how my heart aches to think you

Would even see me like this

I never meant for this to happen

Oh Sweetheart,  it’s not forever

Soon.

Baby Love, dry your eyes.
