    $9.50 for a turkey sandwich? that's miserable.

Speaking of family gatherings, mine are arriving tomorrow.

    Tomorrow is frozen lasagna.
Thursday (graduation day) is eat out
    Friday is beef tenderloin
Saturday is go to Baltimore/eat out
    Sunday is brunch out/grill chicken
Hopefully there will be leftovers for Monday.

Rose--Is that homemade frozen or Stauffer's frozen? You are organized. Are you taking some time off work? Hope you have a great time.

My second son arrives today. His birthday is tomorrow. With both sons in town and working full time--it's a stress because now I've got to really, actually cook!
Both are really into healthy stuff so I don't lose the diet there, but I tend to make more items per meal to please everybody. We do like the Stauffer's frozen for one meal.

    It's defintely Stauffer's.

Homemade lasagna would probably be better, but this is something we're happy with.

yah..9.50 turkey sandwich was off the coffee cart...i want a white table cloth for that money...

exhibit was well worth it...the arts and crafts movement was the first of modern design, falling on the heels of victorian era, right around the turn of the last century...

fantastic, i was looking for an easy no brainer dinner for grad night and stauffers lasagna it is...

make a big green salad and done!
    love it...

    thanks,

bc survivor's can have a frozen lasagna across the country day today!

The downside is that a portion has 10g of fat. My goal is to stay below 30g per day, and that's a big chunk.

yes 30g is tops for me...i try and do half that the majority of the week...i am trip neg...

the secret is in the portion...mine will be small with lots of salad...salad dressing counts for another 5g....geez!

too funny, bcsurvivors entertaining on the go...maybe we can do a commercial?

Yikes - Ken's 'Lite' walnut/raspberry is 6g. What's so light about that? Dressing will be on the 'side'.

Now I wonder what the blue cheese crumbles come in at. Everything that tastes good is high-fat.

    what about the garlic bread?

    there is 30g..

i felt like i didn't have enough pressuer and drama so i invited son's girlfriend family for grad night lasagna dinner...<g>

i think feta is better for you than the bleu cheese...fat wise but i love gorgonzola with my greens!

The only lowfat cheese I know of is lowfat mozzerela (sp)!

I've had a lowfat swiss, but I don't know how lowfat that really is because I buy it at a deli.

I've started eating frosted mini-wheates for breakfast. They have 6 grams of fiber per serving.

i love frosted mini wheats...i eat them as my snack food every day!

cheese is a hard one for me because i love it more than chocolate!

and sometimes i find myself craving a good sharp cheddar...

but usually can be happy with the lf mozzarrela, i have been disappointed in other low fat cheses...

I like feta too. I suppose I could grate swiss onto the salad. Usually it's not an issue because I"m not a cheese person, but it does add some pop to a salad.

I'm with laura about snacking on the frosted mini-wheats. They are sweet and chewy, lower fat than a cookie. I put some in my snack baggie when I brown bag.

I did get some frozen yoghurt, which is lower fat. Everybody likes to have something sweet at the end, and it is sweet.

Family gatherings my brother is coming in on Monday. Haven't seen him since Christmas. We are all eating at assisted living on Monday lunch, he will take mom to Chinese buffet for dinner and a fill up.

Our socialization is around food, a habit that needs breaking sooner rather than later.

We do that too. I'm not sure how to change something like that. Enjoy your time with your brother.

    Hi Girls,

Just thought I'd pop in and tell you all about my new cell phone ring tone. I am always complaining about the size of my A*S. It doesn't matter 1 bit how much weight I lose, how much I work out, I still have a basketball style booty......Anyhooo, my daughter downloaded a new cell phone ring tone for me as a joke and I laughed my butt off, when the phone rings it says...Tina got a big ole butt plus some music and other words and then again Tina got a big ole butt yada yada. Its an old L L Cool J rap song from the 80's I think.

    I love it

It's pretty rare for a family to not socialize over food!

You can eat without totally blowing it, and make an effort to pass on things that are just junk. Eat some of the good stuff and pass on the mundane. It also helps to go easy on the alcohol.

Tina - I don't know about that ring tone. Are you the only one who knows what the words say?

Tina! That cracks me up! I love the movie Bridget Jones because she describes her butt as the size of Brazil, I feel like that daily!

Well I went to a wedding shower with a lot of great food, my GF said skip breakfast and lunch and I would be fine. It worked so well I only ate one plate and no supper. There is no counting the calories in that plate though!

Laura I know you are so proud and you should be! It is Huge to get one that far!

    Well, they're gone.

All the brownies and the regular cookies are gone. Strangely enough I still have a container of the low-fat cookies.

Yep, every time my phone rings it cracks me up too, I loved the Bridget Jones movies, love British humour.
I went bike riding around the track near my house with hubby last night, what a sight! Hubby has a small bum and fits nicely on the seat, mine however swallowed that seat whole! Maybe I need one of those nice big gel seats for comfort.

Have a good day girls, Tina

It's OK for bums to be big. They just shouldn't jiggle.

I was watching E!, and they named Beyonce as the sexist woman. That girl has got some butt!

Bike riding is good for curvy bottoms.

We gotta love what we've got.

    Tina,

My dh has a small butt too--one of his best features!!And the male bike seat tends to be much smaller than the female bike seat--we are wider at the hips for obvious reasons and I guess the bike people know that. The wide gel seats are nice and comfy--go for it!

That's right Rose it is not my butt is big I am just the wrong race for my butt size!

Right now my vericose veins are working overtime to gross me out, I wear jeans and crop pants outside the house. Sometimes I let the goats see the fancy roadmap my legs have, but I fear I may even scare them!

Well, the goats won't tell anybody.

In Brazil butt implants are bigger than breast implants. I saw one gal on Dr. 90210 who had butt implants. I think you're right that it's a cultural thing....
