New Want To Play A Word Game

oooh, I have to put my hand over my eyes! There is so much glare from the sun shining on the side of our rocket ship. Everybody strapped in? Here we go.....
-
I agree, this is SO exciting! Did you notice that big flare as we took off?
-
yes, it's the flame shooting out the back of the rocket. It must be a hundred yards long. How long will it take us to get to the moon?
-
We will get there so quickly, but not before we try some of those freeze dried meals.
(BTW, the Saturn V rocket is just about 5 mi from where I live)
-
My meal.... ewww, it tastes like slime.
(I've been to see that rocket, Kathy! Are you near Huntsville? My BFF lived there for several years)
-
They aren't very tasty, oh what I would give for some fresh limes right now!
(YES,was in Huntsville for yrs, now next door to it. Small world!!).
-
fresh fruit, are you kidding? The nearest grocery store is a hundred thousand miles away, and I think I can see the last people in the checkout lines out the window of the capsule. Seriously, we will get our fruit faster if we wait until we get back. Are we going to the front side of the moon, or the back?
-
LOL Curveball, can you really see that many miles away??? I don't know, which side to you think would be the most interesting? (Since its a fantasy I would say why not go all around it...lol)
-
That giant slice of cheese in the sky is getting closer and closer. I'd like to see the whole thing, too. The light side would be warmer ..... and now I have Pink Floyd running thru my head....sheesh.
-
It's mind boggling how many little compartments are in here...it would help if they provided some clues so we could find things.
-
While we're on the way, let's make banana splits. Do you know which locker the chocolate sauce is in?
-
Banana Split?? If we could scare up some fruit, we would have had limes when we needed them. Boy, all this talk of real food and all we have is this lousy space food.
-
But, lets keep our eyes on the prize....we are up in Space!!!! Awesome! And, we DO have freeze-dried ice cream. I'm not sure but there may be freeze-dried fruit too. The real trick is to find it!
(BTW, Where is everyone else? Sheila??? Anyone can join us here, don't want anyone to think its our private thread, but seems like its just been the 3 of us for awhile!)
-
well if we don't have any fruit, let's bake something. May I suggest molasses spice muffins?
-
I'll have a piece of anything baked. Can I cheat on my low carb way of eating in space?
-
No, but you don't have to. I'm sure I saw a jar of protein powder in one of those compartments. Let's creep through the tunnel into the other module and see if we can find it. I've been looking all over the net and finding out how to make baked goods using that instead of flour. Low carb, high protein. You can make pancakes, muffins, all sorts of stuff, and some kinds you can cook in the microwave, which is handy since we don't have a real oven here in the spaceship.
-
Oooo, we could go on a cooking and eating spree if we had acces to an oven here on the spaceship.
I use almond flour and coconut flour for cooking. Made some waffles last weekend. Think I'm going to try pancakes this weekend. And the cream cheese "muffins" are like mini cheesecakes. Mmmm.
-
no use crying over spilt milk. Speaking of which, how about a latte or some other coffee drink? I'm sure I saw some beans and a French press here somewhere...
Wait a minute, I don't drink coffee!
Well, I guess that just means there's more for you!
-
I'll trade you the coffee for these freeze-dried pears
-
I love that curveball is so sweet and genuinely cares about you having some coffee zogo, even though she can't! I like dried pears, wonder if the freeze-dried ones are good?
(P.S. We're away for 3 nites, but I was able to check in tonight...we're at the casinos....might see if they would think of adding a casino to the space station, then we could stop there after we tour the moon!!!)
-
no gambling for me, wahine! The casino owner rakes in piles of money, and the customers go home with empty pockets. I've got more important things to do with that money than fritter it away at roulette or blackjack or feed it to the one-armed-bandit.
p.s. thanks for the pears, zogo
How's your latte?
-
I've heard both positive raves and negative reviews about gambling. I guess that depends on if you get lucky or not. Some of the games require more skill than others.
The latte is wonderful. Thanks curveball.
-
OK, where is everyone? It's been 3 days already! I'm starting to wonder if anyone even reads this thread any more, let alone wants to play the game. We're almost to the moon! What will we do when we get there?
-
Hmmmm...do we all feel safe on the moon, or does anyone have any fears?
-
I think I would feel safer if we went back home
(ok I know i didn't change a letter, but it fit my sentiment so perfectly)
c'mon all you lurkers...join us! we're getting lonely on the moon
-
LOL Jane, I do that sometimes too....just rearrange them.Well I am heading out, so no word right now, but I'll be back!
-
I agree with you zogo....I will not have any tears to be heading back home! (Although in reality, I am leaving again tomorrow!)
-
Well, if we're going back, I guess we better start now.
But why were you scared, zogo & wahine? It's not like you were going to be carried off by little green men.
The little green men are on Mars, not the moon! OK, once around the far side of the moon, and then back to Earth we go.
-
This sure has been a treat to travel to the moon.
-
Love the memories of our moon adventure, I wouldn't trade places with anyone!
